Sunday in the Pahk
The XM radio station I listen to most of the time is the Broadway channel. Yeah, I'm gay.
Tonight on the way home I heard the familiar staccato opening notes of "Color and Light" from Sunday in the Park with George. I turned up the volume. Then my jaw hit the steering wheel. Some chick with a Northern English accent was singing the part of Marie. And then a man with a not so northern accent came in as George. And both singers were struggling with the high parts.
It was so jarring.
I'm used to Bernadette and Mandy. My mind would not accept these voices.
