Any recepie that insists on Miracle Whip over mayo is a winner in my book.

Unless consistency is key, why not use a food processor instead of the meat grinder to grind it?

Sounds, um, interesting. :-)

'cause they didn't have food processors back in the day. I have a meat grinder attachment for my Kitchen Aid mixer.

I've never tried to grind meat with a food processor.

I say this as many of us don't have meat grinders but many do have food processors. It will break down meat and such into dice like bits but may or may not get it as fine as a meat grinder will.

I have one of those mini food choppers and it does a fine job on many things.

You can.
The joy of this stuff is that you don't have to pull out the Miracle Whip AND the bologna AND the cheese AND the pickles. Just get the one container out of the fridge, slap it down on some bread, and VOILA.
