This morning around 7:35 I was putting on my socks and boots and looked over to see Taz playing with a 12-inch length of candle wicking. I yelled at him, clapped loudly to try to get him to leave it alone, all to no avail. her mother actually took to pulling the string out of his ass a few inches at a time and snipping it off with scissors.

Rubber and elastic seem to act like catnip with the cats we've had. Rubber bands, kitchen gloves, my wrist brace with all the elastic wrappings. The cats love playing with these things as if they were rodents, holding the object in their mouth, giving a shake, and flipping it in the air over their head.
