It had been a long twenty four hours. Between flying in late the night before, shopping earlier in the day, and the headache she'd gotten from both Anna's Psyduck and her own, it had been very action packed, to say the least. Katie didn't really mind it though - it was the first time she'd been able to go to the festival in three years, and she was enjoying every second of it ( ... )

He glanced up as soon as he heard the words, smiling despite still being slightly out of breath and a little achey.

"Oh, actually, it's not. I just take up a lot of space," he said, reaching to grab his crutch-cane and setting it on his other side. He noticed the Vaporeon at her side straight away, but shied slightly from it, not really sure if it was protection, a pet or otherwise. His smile didn't degrade any, however, and he scooted slightly, bad leg thrown straight out to be most comfortable.

"Oh!" Caught up with just looking for a seat, Katie hadn't even noticed the crutch. It took her a bit by surprise, and admittedly made her a bit curiously. But the smile remained on her face as Simon moved the cane. After a moment, she took a seat, leaving a deal of space between the two of them. "Thanks. It's really crowded here this year ( ... )

"I've never been to a place with so many people besides, er. Saffron, was it? But that was just passing by. It's interesting to watch everyone mill around."

He took in the sights again as he talked, breathing evening out a bit more as he willed it to. When she asked him the question, he glanced up at her, then back down and up again, giving a sheepish smile.

"Oh, yes, I'm fine. I just had to walk a ways, since everything seemed to be taken up with people going to the festival. It wasn't so bad, though. I got to see a lot of sights on my way. Did you come from a ways away, too?"

Simon smiled as they trudged their way through the crowd, now within sight of the fence around the bottom of the ride, and the ticket man calling for riders. Slowly, the wheel stopped turning, and several baskets of people were let off before it started moving again.

"I was thinking of traveling Kanto for a while, anyway. It'll give me a chance to train for the other Leagues, too. Maybe I'll even make it to Sinnoh!"

Pleased with the idea, he hummed to himself, then realized he'd forgotten about the tickets they needed for the ride. Slowing and glancing around, he stood tall and a little unwieldy before recognizing a booth selling trinkets... as well as tickets.

"If you put your mind to it and work hard, I'm sure you'll be cruising through Sinnoh in no time!"

She grinned in his direction, having barely realized that they didn't even get the tickets for the ride yet. Katie caught the direction Simon was looking in, and her eyes too meandered in that direction. Her eyes widened slightly; she felt a bit foolish that she'd gotten so caught up in the fun that she'd completely forgotten.

"Oh!" She looked back to Simon, smiling sheepishly. "The line's shorter over there than here. How about you hold the spot and I'll go grab the tickets!"
