Who's that girl?

On some computers, this icon shows up as the EvilWillow in the Book Cage "This World's No Fun" thingy that it's supposed to be.

On some other computers, it shows up as some blonde chick dancing on a rooftop. same icon, different results.

a) what did you get?

...That is so bizarre. Just....how. Why? My little web-programming brain is broken now.

I'm getting EvilWillow on my MacBook, both in Firefox and in Safari (and while we're on about LJ being strange, my friends page has ads in Safari but not Firefox. Wtf?)

Maybe you have an adblocker in Firefox and not in Safari?

Maybe the PC's with the alternative have a cached copy of the placemarker. Try clearing TIF's and cookies on them, then close and reopen your browser.
