It had been a good day so far. Hermione was always glad when things went smoothly, and she didn't mind leaving the office for lunch today. If it had been busier, she probably would have just eaten at her desk. It was a nice day, though, so she was glad for the chance to get some fresh air.

She hadn't decided where to go when she left the office, so she just started walking. When she neared the Pink Umbrella, she noticed someone familiar seated outside. She hadn't had the opportunity to speak with Dean during the party last weekend, so she decided to say hello. She crossed the road and approached him. "Good afternoon, Dean."

Someone said his name, and it shook him out of his concentration. Dean scanned the area around him, looking for the source of the voice. After a moment he saw Hermione coming toward him, and he set down his sketchpad, smiling at her. "Hermione! How are you?"

He glanced at the table and moved his bag out of the way, gesturing to the chair across from him. "Are you out for lunch? You're very welcome to join me, if you don't have other plans." He flipped the cover of his drawing closed, tapping it lightly with his fingers. "Just taking a bit of a break myself."

"I'm doing well. Work is calm enough at the moment that I decided to sneak out for an hour," she said. "How are you? I saw you at the party on Saturday, but I never got a chance to speak with you."

"Yes, I am. Are you sure? I don't want to intrude if you're working." She went ahead and sat down when he said that he didn't have any plans. "How is your training going? Are you still enjoying it?"

"That's good. I'm sure even you can use a break every once in awhile," Dean said, giving her a knowing look. She mentioned the party, and he nodded. "It was brilliant. You and Pansy did a great job pulling it together. I know Neville was really happy, and Harry looked it as well."

"It's far too much fun to really call it working," he said, laughing a little as he idly tapped his sketchpad. "Just drawing a bit. Trying to get the creative juices flowing and such." Hermione asked about his training, and he nodded, smiling. "Well, today's a free day, but I've been in the studio anyway. By choice. If that tells you anything."
