RP: Business Lunch

Summary: Dean takes a long lunch and runs into Hermione.

Things around the studio had been a bit slow, but Dean was restless, so he'd even spent his "free" days there this week. It was easier not to think about everything that had happened with Katie when he was busy. He thought the floor in the place had probably never been cleaner, as much time as he'd spent experimenting with different charms to remove the various paint splotches. It had only taken a couple of days for Carine and Chance to draw out of him what had turned his mood on its head, and since then they'd both been great about leaving him to himself. That Chance wasn't talking to him constantly was a feat in itself.
But by late morning, he'd run out of odd jobs. There was a stack of crumpled parchment next to him from the number of sketches he'd already started and discarded. He didn't dare touch a canvas, lest he end up having to clean it and start again. At least with paper he could just throw it out. He had just remembered there was a batch of paint that needed stirring when Carine caught him and had insisted he take a long lunch. That he make it a working lunch and go find some people to sketch--sketches he would keep.
The Pink Umbrella wasn't exactly one of Dean's favourite places to eat, but the food was decent enough, and they had outdoor seating. It was much more interesting to watch all the people walking around Diagon Alley than it was to just watch them eat. Across the street a little girl with curly brown hair was clinging to her mother's robes as the witch chatted with a street vendor, possibly negotiating a price, from the look on her face. Dean was trying very hard to capture that expression, his sandwich mostly ignored on the table beside him.
