Kevin had been pacing for nearly two hours in front of Utopia, wondering if she should go in or not. This whole date/nondate thing had been really awkward and at moments at the party Kevin had thought she was really mad at him for asking if it was a date, but on the other hand, he didn't want to assume it was or wasn't. He didn't like misunderstandings even though it seemed like he actually created one anyway.
He sighed and stood at the entrance, changing his mind again and starting his pacing.
Kevin had never been strong on the whole social thing and he was quite clueless about girls, specifically. Of course he did have a romantic interest in Cho Chang back at school, but it was quite platonic once you thought about it. It had never occured to him to have anything more with her than friendship with kisses here and there and even though he knew it was quite childish to think that way, well he never really had time to think about the whole sex thing before..
Before he moved in with Millicent and Tracey that is.
Not that he harbored any kind of sexual feelings for Millie, but in the very few weeks he had known Tracey, his thoughts and senses were often overwhelmed by her. If you asked him to think about how he felt about his flatmates, he'd tell you that it was nice having Millie around because she took no bullshit from no one and he liked that she was going straight to the point, especially with him and that her cooking skills were amazing.
Now Tracey, he would tell you that he likes being around her. That he thought she was nice and the joking around was awesome. That in the end, she was a great person and he liked talking with her. But deep within his instincts, Kevin felt a lot more about his flatmate. Nothing close to love, of course not, but Tracey had actually awaken something in him. Something that had been sleeping until now.
He was a late bloomer, everyone knew that. But it's only at 19 years old that Kevin found out he liked girl with long silky hair and of course.. long legs.
He sighed again and turned around once more to walk to the next corner, deeply lost in his thoughts.
