Calliope's was busy, but the Friday evening crowd hadn't really set in yet, so Lisa was able to get a table with no problem. She'd been really in the mood for one of their sandwiches, and also in need of a place for brainstorming without distraction, so she'd said goodbye to Terry after work and come straight here.
She'd decided she needed to have a birthday party. It wasn't usually her style to make a big deal out of things like that for herself, but this year it just seemed appropriate. Last year she might as well have not existed on her birthday, so she thought surviving for this one was a thing to celebrate. Lisa hadn't mentioned the idea to anyone else yet, because the plan had really only started forming since visiting Utopia with Terry the previous Friday. She wanted to work out all the details before bringing it up.
Her drink order arrived, and she pulled out a piece of parchment to begin making some notes.
