It was a bit like old times.
Grinning, Harry looked down at his clipboard and took a few final notes on what he'd seen before he made an arc on his broom and flew down to the ground. It was a bit cumbersome holding a clipboard whilst in the air; twice he'd dropped his quill, but it had at least been fun diving to retrieve it.
Other players were zooming towards the ground around him, as well. The trials had gone spectacularly, mostly because this was all for fun and there wasn't any real pressure. Everyone who'd shown an interest would be able to play, after all; this had just been to suss out who'd get what position. Now that everyone had tried out and Harry, Angelina, and Ron would chat briefly, they could announce the teams. It looked to him like they'd end up with an extra Beater and Chaser per team, but that was no big deal, all things considered.
He was more looking forward to doing a few scrimmages once everyone was sorted.
For Harry, that was the fun of Quidditch. Friendly competition, no pressure to win a cup or title (not that it wasn't brilliant if you did win), just the thrill of being in the air and speeding towards the Snitch. The summer league had been a brilliant idea, because he felt like it'd bring a bit of normalcy and uncomplicated fun to a summer that he felt didn't have near enough.
When most people were on the ground, he looked between Ron and Angelina before he cleared his throat. "Right, so," he said, loudly, "Brilliant playing, everyone. We're going to discuss it for a bit now, and then we'll go ahead and announce the positions in a few minutes and break up into teams."
