Irma ducked into the staffroom for a cup of tea. The library was empty enough she could leave one of the older students in charge for a bit while she took a break. She had her knitting bag with her so she could work on Lucy's Christmas gift.

She was somewhat surprised to find Minerva at one of the tables, with a pot of tea and biscuits. "Minerva! I didn't expect anyone to be in here!" Irma dropped her knitting bag on the table and gestured at the tea. "May I?"

"Of course, dear. Help yourself. The scones are delicious, cranberry and a hint of orange." Minerva folded the paper and set it aside.

"What are knitting at the moment?" Minerva never caught the hang of knit or crochet but she enjoyed other needlework.

Irma helped herself to a cup and added some sugar. She placed a scone on a plate and settled in across from Irma.

"It's a shawl for Lucy for Christmas. Time's running short for holiday projects, and I hate to just set a charm to do the work, you know?"
