Cycling photos!!
On May 12, I went down to St. Louis for Missouri Professional Cycling Series. I took a ton of pictures and posted the best 30 or so on my Flickr site. Then I got to looking at them, and figured I had probably gotten some level of photo of every rider there. Lack of women in cycling journalism
I'm having trouble expressing it, but it's really bugging me that the current issue of VeloNews was written and photographed entirely by men. The message is that it's a mens magazine for a mens sport. The best article about womens cycling is actually an advertisement for the Exergy Tour. Religious choices
Every once in a while, people ask what my religion is. I reply something to the effect of, "It's complicated. I don't follow any organized religion." I think it's impossible for one to have no religion at all. On Sunday, the Times of London published a story by Paul Kimmage regarding an interview he had last November with Floyd Landis. The interview reportedly took all day - about seven hours - and went over Landis' entire cycling career and personal biography. Make my brain shut up and go to sleep
A couple of hours ago, Gary Fisher, who has an eponymous line of bikes at Trek so is in a position to know, implied via Twitter that the name of the new team from Luxembourg would be Leopard Trek. This is kind of a cool name, and takes into account the main bike sponsor - Trek - as well as the company name of the director - Leopard True Racing ( Read more... ) -
