Anyone I know want to buy an old pickup truck?

I'm looking to sell my pickup truck, seen in this userpic lurking in front of Devil's Tower. It's a 1996 Chevy S-10 LS with a cap on the back. The LS has a slightly longer cab (there are fold-down jumpseats on the side behind the split bench seats) and a slightly shorter bed (I want to say 6 feel long). It does not have A/C. Yes, that seems absurdly optimistic. When I tried to sell Rich's Scion to the Toyota dealer-- at well less than half the age and half the miles of your truck-- they offered $500. Insulting! I did sell it privately for a lot more but that took a while. I didn't even bother selling the VW. I knew people interested in buying the VW but when I told them the Edmunds price they jeered, so I gave it to NPR which sold it at auction for about 1/5 the Edmunds "value". (This was before VW's cheating became known, so that wasn't a factor.)

Well, dealers are always going to offer well under the private sale price. The mini was valued at slightly above the truck, and the local used car dealer offered me $1100, I think. Ideally, I'd like to sell the truck for enough to get a good set of roof racks for the Fit, but that may be too optimistic.
