While they'd had a fairly out of control fight - possibly in spite of that - Roger had gone ahead with their plans to look at a few properties. He'd taken the advice of both his accountant and manager when selecting a real estate agent and giving her a few specifications ( Read more... )

The week had already felt incredibly long, the two of them doing their best to work through their fight and focus on the future that they were building. There was a distinct shift between them now, tense more often than not, but they were still ultimately the same- completely and madly in love, which was the most important thing.

"What did you tell her?" she asked him through a fit of giggles, her face all scrunched up as she looked at him.

When she pictured their lives together she didn't imagine them in anything that resembled their boarding school. This place looked like this place could easily house their entire group of friends, extended families included.

Lavender could get lost in there-

"Not much, really?" Thinking back, Roger realized he hadn't actually given her much to go on.

"I said something about a yard," he nodded, sure that had been there. "More than three bedroom." Check, he'd made sure of that. Had there been anything else?"

He shrugged as he took in the place. Not only was it huge, it was old - bordering on historic. Maybe he should have mentioned modern.

"Then I gave her a budget."
