Closed: Lavender; House hunting

While they'd had a fairly out of control fight - possibly in spite of that - Roger had gone ahead with their plans to look at a few properties. He'd taken the advice of both his accountant and manager when selecting a real estate agent and giving her a few specifications.

Roger had intended this to be a surprise until the last moment, but the house - no, estate - was a bit hard to miss when after he'd apparated them to the agreed upon meeting spot.

"So," he told Lavender, hand wrapped in hers as he huffed a laugh, "I thought we'd get a jump on house hunting. This wasn't what I expected, exactly." Whatever he had expected, the rather over-sized Elizabethan country house hadn't been it.

Roger cleared his throat as they walked up the lane, their realtor - a woman named Destiny, which seemed presumptuous - waiting just inside the arched outer entryway. "I see she's started modestly."
