Closed: Lavender; Honeymoon

Maybe they had rushed through the wedding and had a surprise reception, but the honeymoon they were absolutely doing correctly. The timing had been perfect, and an entire week alone with Lavender was the absolute best thing Roger could think of at the moment. It was a fantastic location that he hadn't been able to properly appreciate in the past, breezing in and back out again within a weekend.

It was better, now, with Lavender beside him and a balcony that overlooked the clear lake. The mountains reflected perfectly against the water's surface and stretched toward the bright blue sky.

This was their own little serene break. No press chasing them around, no family members turning up unexpectedly; just them and an over-sized hotel room.

Somehow, Roger was awake first. He'd been tempted, extremely so, to kiss Lavender awake. She looked gorgeous asleep, though, and he couldn't bring himself to do it. So he settled for kissing her carefully and going out to bring back coffee and breakfast. The streets had already been getting busy by the time he made it back to the room, door clicking behind him when he came back inside.
