Well, yeah, but not so you'd notice.

... the coinage, though?

Though that reminds me of a Eurosceptic Tory going on about how we couldn't have the Euro, because then the Queen wouldn't be on our banknotes, and was apparently completely unaware that she isn't, and never has been, on Scottish notes.

Anyway, as I should have said: Happy Canada Day!

I am having flashbacks to the Stargate SG1 music video set to Rocks and Trees by The Arrogant Worms. This is probably because it is almost 1am.

I have not seen said video nor have I heard the song (though I do know of the Arrogant Worms in general), but I approve of your Jem icon.

We've got
Rocks and trees
And trees and rocks
And rocks and trees
And trees and rocks
And rocks and trees
And trees and rocks
And rocks and trees
And trees and rocks
And water!

It applies to New Zealand as well. I used to sing it while on camping. XD

Also, you have Captain Tractor and the Arrogant Worms. And the Kids in the Hall. And HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA. And TIMBITS. (I know there are Tim Horton's in the US now, but there are NONE IN MY PART.)

The response to that video: yes, I would like to be Canadian. My mother would like me to obtain Canadian citizenship (basically, she wants one foot in Canada's borders when America finally does go really and truly pear-shaped and thinks it'll be easier for me because there are Canadian parts of the family. Admittedly, the ones who had citizenship (on account of the fact that they were born there) are dead, so they're not much use at all).

And now I return to lurking and ogling other peoples' citizenships.

That video is adorable and I'm snagging for my LJ!

Butter tarts and poutine. YUM. I think I've just decided what I'll be having for lunch today :) Happy Canada Day!
