Well, wow. Thanks, Thomas L. Moran, whoever you are. I never realized that I could hate everybody on this show except Foreman, Cuddy, and Chase. But you made it look so easy

I knew we were in for a less-than-stellar episode when the f-bomb was dropped both egregiously and pointlessly within the show's first few minutes (I refer to the seven-letter f-bomb, not the four-letter one; that's still a few seasons away unless the show moves to HBO). The season's quality has been up and down like a roller coaster and you're right, Cameron is being used as a plot prop -- though all the show's supporting characters seem to have suffered that indignity to a greater or lesser degree. And yeah, House/Cuddy works just fine for me, though I suspect there's too much baggage there for the writers to pull it off believably even if they wanted to.
On another note entirely, wasn't that episode of 'Lost' the nastiest ever? In a totally rockin' way, of course.

There's something to be said for Dad's habit of turning off the TV at the first sign of trouble. I'm wishing now I'd stopped watching right about then.
Haven't seen LOST yet, but after last week's much-needed dose of awesome, I'm looking forward to it.
Yes, House has been totally disappointing this season, and this ep was notably bad both for the "who are you and what have you done with Cameron?" moments and the "I really didn't need to see House sitting on a toilet inserting a cath" segment.
I was hoping that Chase and Cameron were actually dating instead of just "uncomplicated sex" all over the hospital. Boo hiss. Also, while I get that they're trying to show that Cameron has been influenced by House, somehow I don't think stripping her of all her previous character traits and turning her into a cold-hearted liar is exactly a smooth transition illustrating the subtleties and complexities of her development.

Wordy McWord with Word sauce. But I've noticed that the House writers seem to have real difficulty with plausible character development all around. Instead of gradual change over time, or credible long-term reactions to traumatic events, you get these dramatic swings. I still feel cheated that House never reacted properly to losing the use of his leg a second time, way back in the beginning of this season. It was like, "Oh, well, back to square one... now where did I put my cane?" And then they contrived this whole ridiculous "OMG HOUSE IS A DRUG ADDICT" arc with Tritter just to make him miserable and cranky, when they already had a golden opportunity for that earlier and they wasted it.
Hello. Since I don't watch House this is off topic. I followed your link from the 'Blue Boards' to Knife and just wanted to say how much I am enjoying your writing. I didn't get to finish yet as we're having thunderstorms here in TX, but did want to comment on your lovely writing before I shut down my computer. I don't post on the Blue boards since I'm trying to finish my current WIP and don't want to let myself get distracted, but I am registered there as Mr Zixer. It should really be Mrs. Zixer as I'm wife and mother(4 kids)but used a nickname my oldest called his baby sister when she was born. Anyway, just wanted to say love your writing and after reading some of your posts here on fast draft I'm thinking of trying it soon. Lee
