Summary: Hikaru and Kaoru have decided they want a pet, this time of the animal variety. <3

Hikaru couldn't help but think the rabbit was cute... and possibly giving him Take Me Home? looks. Then Kaoru slid an arm around him and told the critter he couldn't have him, and Hikaru had to laugh and nuzzle into his twin's neck contentedly. "Mou, if you're gonna be like that we won't get a pet at all~"

A teasing tone, and he moved away again, tugging at Kaoru's hand and moving farther down the aisle. "Let's see what else they have!"

"And what if it tries to steal you from me?" Hikaru pouted right back-- then laughed when Kaoru pulled him down a side aisle to squeal over a hamster cage. "Ah, they look like little pandas..."

Most of the animals in the store were new to them both, given the way they'd grown up; things like rabbits and hamsters they knew, but there were a lot that they didn't recognise as well. While his brother wiggled a finger at the sleeping hamsters, Hikaru peered into a terrarium beside it, tilting his head to watch the chamelion inside climb along the glass, then crossed his eyes at it and laughed softly. "Ne Kaoru, what kind of pet do you want anyway?"
