Valentine had been in Itsuki's apartment for at least ten minutes, the cookies she'd made just prior to walking the few feet over still steaming on their plate. Itsuki had told her that a new person would be coming over, so she wasn't exactly sure how that was going to go, but she would like to meet a new friend.

A knock at the door drew her attention away from Itsuki, however, and when he didn't immediately get up to answer it, she stood and walked over. It would be rude to leave her waiting for a long time, after all. She was a bit surprised when Itsuki followed her, but said nothing as he clung to the back of her shirt. Was he... hiding behind her? She wasn't sure.

Upon opening the door, she put a small smile on her face. "Ah, hello there. You must be Sakura, right?" she asked, almost losing her balance while trying to deal with Itsuki holding onto her shirt. "Please, come in!" She tried to move out of the way as best she could, doing her best not to back up on Itsuki's toes. "C'mon now, Itsuki, it's okay... I promise."

Itsuki blushed a little more, forcing himself to let go of Valentine's shirt and back a few steps away. It was quite a while longer before he actually managed to force himself to speak. "Y... Yes... Come in, Sakura-san..." he practically whispered, that being the loudest that he could talk. He wondered how obvious it was how little he actually associated with people other than Valentine.

He pulled away enough so that he could bow to Sakura, then managed a meek, obviously forced smile. "I... t-thank you for coming... I really a-appreciate it..." Abruptly, he whirled around and headed over to where Valentine had placed the cookies. Lifting the tray up, he turned and carried it over to them with shaky hands. "D-... Would you like any--" he was about to ask, but all of a sudden, he looked down and realized that he had slanted the tray just enough for all of the cookies to go sliding to the floor. "A-ahh..." He took in a deep breath and looked up to the girls with a horrified expression. He was not going to cry. "I... I'm sorry..."

Sakura smiled and bowed slightly to the girl--what was her name again? It wasn't Japanese... it was... oh, what was it? "Etto, I'm sorry, please forgive me, but what was your name again?" she asked kindly, still smiling, before her attention was pulled to the man, who had to be Itsuki, standing behind the other girl.

"Itsuki-san," she greeted happily, as she stepped inside. She bowed to him. "It was no trouble really," she assured, hands clasped together in front of her.

She watched as he nervously brought over the tray of cookies. She opened her mouth, on the verge of mentioning that the cookies were sliding off, when they hit the ground.

"Oh," she said. "It's nothing to worry about." She bent down to help pick them up, still smiling sweetly. "It's wonderful to meet you both, by the way." She glanced up holding a handful of cookies out to be placed back on the tray, smiling sweetly.

Valentine inclined her head to the girl, a smile mirroring Sakura's own. "That's quite all right. My name's Valentine. I'm Itsuki's friend and neighbor." She giggled softly, glancing back to Itsuki when she heard him speaking. It was then that the cookies hit the floor. Oh goodness... well, at least she always made lots. She could sneak back in to get another tray without Peter noticing her being home ( ... )

Itsuki remained frozen for the time that Valentine had gone back to her apartment. When he realized that she was back, however, and had cookies, he slowly made his way over to his carefully made bed in the middle of the living room floor. He sat down and gently wrung his hands together, staring at the ground. For some reason, his face was still burning red as he next spoke. "T-thank you, Valentine..."

He had also taken note of the fact that Sakura had addressed him yet again as 'Itsuki-san'. He hated it when people did that... "S-Sakura-san, please... Please call me Itsuki. 'Itsuki-san' sounds too..." He paused for a few moments, trying to think of what he was trying to say. "Too good for me." And with that, he gave a slight nod, though he couldn't help but wonder if he made any sense whatsoever.

Sakura smiled to Valentine. "Ah, well, it's very nice to meet you Valentine-san." She bowed again, watching as the othe girl left to fetch more cookies. She turned around still smiling, but Itsuki had moved to the bed and Valentine was back a moment later, startling Sakura.

She opened her mouth to speak when Itsuki's words reached her ears. "Oh, no!" she said, shaking her hands in the air. "It's not at all too good for you!" she assured, feeling rather unsure. "How could-- please forgive me for being presumptius," she added, bowing again, "but I'm sure you are very deserving of an honorific. I--if you wish, I won't add 'san', but I--I would be very pleased if you would allow it. I-- I don't know why you feel that you're not good enough for it, but if there's anyway I could change your mind..." She trailed off, blushing and looking away.

"Oh, I brought tea!" she added, giggling nervously as she pulled out the little wooden box full of tea leaves that she'd put in her bag.

Valentine sat next to Itsuki on the bed, the plate of cookies resting on her lap. It made her sad when he said things like that. She didn't see why he didn't deserve it, but she wouldn't argue with him. "It's okay, Itsuki..." She wasn't sure of what else to say, so she left it at that for the moment, looking back up to Sakura.

"Oh, tea? Would you like for me to fix it? Tea and cookies sounds lovely," she mumbled softly, smiling up to the other girl. It was quite thoughtful what she'd done! She only hoped Itsuki wasn't feeling too uncomfortable with the new girl there. She wanted him to be happy, that was all! It was why she did so many things for him.

"What do you think, Itsuki?" she asked, her gaze going back to the other. "Would you like some tea?"
