Itsuki would have stumbled had he not been sitting down. Instead, he rubbed at his forehead, really not understanding why he was feeling so panicked with the two of them there. It was just... two people. He didn't have the right to freak out. Besides, he was the one who had invited them over in the first place, so he especially didn't have the right to freak out over it. "I... T-tea would be very good... but I..." His hands gripped at his knees tightly, and then he shook his head. He had just been about to comment that he wasn't hungry so the cookies could wait... but he was the one who had been so horrible as to spill them all over the floor. "N-never mind..."

It was then that what Sakura had said registered in his mind, and he flinched. "I-I... if it would... make you happy, then you may..." he mumbled under his breath, disbelieving that he would actually agree to that. The way she had put it, though... It would have made him feel horrible to tell her not to again.

Sakura beamed, clapping her hands together. "Arigatou!" she said bowing. "I can make tea. It's a special blend and I sort of have this special brewing process, I guess." She laughed feeling silly. "It's supposed to help with sleeping and... um, other stuff. Nightmares and things, I suppose.

"My old caretaker made it and she taught me how and I just thought, since you couldn't sleep it would be nice. You can have this if you want. There's plenty here to last you a month and I can bring you more when you run out." She smiled showing him the nice little wooden box she'd brought the tea leaves in. "Etto, kitchen?" she asked, glancing at Valentine, unsure which one she should ask.

Valentine looked rather happy that she'd brought him something like that. Perhaps some tea would help him relax. However... she knew how much he didn't like being around a lot of people. He'd invited Sakura over, and it was her first time there. She could go visit him anytime she wanted, though. It wasn't like she lived very far away. "It's 'kay, Itsuki... you can tell me if something's wrong..."

She glanced back up to Sakura after a moment, smiling happily. "Oh, the kitchen? It's... those steps right there," she motioned, inclining her head towards the three or four steps. "It's just to your left." Her smile conveyed just how much she appreciated the other doing such a thing for Itsuki. After a moment, she looked back to the boy with a small smile. "Would it be better if I left?" she asked, just wanting him to feel better. "I can leave the cookies here for you..."

"N-no!" Itsuki automatically blurted out, shaking his head profusely. He then bit his lip gently. "I don't... want you to have to go back, Valentine, I... no..." He closed his eyes and took in a deep breath, trying to compose himself again. "I just... am not very hungry right now... but once I try the tea, I'm sure that I'll be able to eat something..." He left out the fact that he hadn't had anything to eat at all for two or so days.

He then looked to Sakura before getting to his feet. "N-n... ahh, Sakura-san, I don't want you to go to any trouble... Not in my apartment. I can make the tea..." He forced a smile as he held out shaky hands. "I-I can't mess tea up too badly, can I...?"

Sakura smiled kindly. "Oh, it's no trouble Itsuki-san," she told him. "I'm happy to do it, but if you'd rather make it, I understand." She handed him the box, still smiling. "It's naturally sweet, so you don't have to add anything to it, but you have to let it soak for at least ten minutes before drinking," she explained. "I'm not actually sure why," she added, a finger to her lip. She shrugged.

"Etto- may I have a cookie?" she asked, glancing at the tray of fresh, not dropped cookies.

Valentine was worried about him. She worried about him constantly, but she wasn't sure if he really knew that. Oh well, she'd just have to keep a closer eye on him. A repeat of the incident did not need to happen again. She valued him too much. As he stood, she remained sitting, her gaze shy as she watched them speak.

"A-ah, of course!" She stood and held out the plate to Sakura with a smile. "As many as you like. They're just chocolate chip, nothing special..." She paused, glancing off to the side. "But I figure most people like them, so I hope you do, too!" She glanced over to Itsuki again with a smile. "Would you like help with the tea?"

"They are special... because you made them," Itsuki replied as he accepted the box, smiling rather absently as he headed over to the stove. There was a kettle already on the top of it, and he did whatever he needed to do in order to prepare it. "Most people aren't thoughtful enough... They won't even bother with that..."

He glanced over his shoulder at the two girls and frowned thoughtfully. "Y-you two... You can help if you'd like... or you can just talk while you wait?" A smile twinged at his lips as he turned back around. He really didn't mind either way, too distracted to even consider the possibility of what Valentine was thinking a bout. "I... I'm sorry for making such a mess... I'm really not good at hosting... anything."

Sakura smiled, taking a cookie and following Itsuki into the kitchen. She might as well help him, since she didn't have anything else to do and she had come over specifically to keep him company.

She beamed at him and watched as he put the tea together. "Oh, this goes first," she said, pointing to one section of the box, which was sectioned off for each group of tea leaves. "Just let that simmer for a minute and then add this one and this at the same time. Then simmer for another minute before this goes in and simmers for another minute." She sighed. "Then this goes in and you let it all simmer together for ten minutes."

She turned her head to smile at him. "It's a lot, but it's really good and it does help with sleeping and just... being calm in general. I put them in the box in order they go, so it should be easy to remember when you make it the first couple of times."
