Sakura smiled and waved back, glancing at her friends. Naruto was a barely contained ball of energy, obviously excited about getting his puppy, which Sakura noted, was being held by Subaru.

Tanpopo made a soft chirping sound, clearly excited at the sound of other birds so close by.

Giggling, Sakura pulled Mokona off her head and rushed over to Subaru. "Subaru-kun!" she cried, jumping up and giving him a hug. "Mokona and I came to visit and I wanted to get her some toys. These are my friends and neighbors, Himawari-chan and Naruto.

"Himawari has a little bird and Naruto wants to buy a puppy," she said, leaning in to whisper further in Subaru's ear. "He wants to buy the puppy you're holding actually." She glanced back at her two friends, grinning, while Mokona mewed and pawed at the puppy in Subaru's arms.

Himawari smiled, watching Sakura run on ahead to give the proprieter of the shop a hug. Sakura was such a nice girl; Himawari had been unusually lucky in meeting her, and Naruto was a nice guy, though Himawari had a feeling her luck around him would be vastly different than it was around Sakura and Tanpopo.

"Pi," Tanpopo chirped excitedly, fluttering wings excitedly. Himawari giggled. "You're excited, Tanpopo."

They approached Sakura and Subaru as Sakura was introducing them. Himawari smiled and bowed. "It's nice to meet you, Sumeragi-kun. Your shop is lovely."

Subaru bowed, the puppy still squirming in his arms, now trying to jump on the blond.

"It's nice to meet you, Himawari-san." He glanced at the bird hopping and chirrping on her shoulder. "That's a beautiful bird. What kind is it? I've never seen one like it before."

Naruto's body was a barely contained ball of excitement and anticipation. He was so excited about getting a puppy he hadn't even though about ramen once that day. For Uzumaki Naruto, not eating ramen, not wanting or thinking or dreaming or craving ramen was a very big deal

Hokuto passed by her twin's recently-opened pet shop most days on her way home from work, but today she didn't have a gig and thus no reason to hurry. Taking advantage of this, she crossed the street and stuck her head in the door.

Business seemed to be booming - or else Subaru was holding a party he hadn't invited her to. COnvinced that the latter option was inconceivable, Hokuto beamed widely at the world in general and sauntered inside. "I'm glad to see business is going so well!" she called to Subaru.

Subaru, in the middle of showing Sakura and her friends around, was startled at the sound of his sister's voice. He jumped in surprise, flailing his arms wildly about in an attempt to stay upright, as he turned to stare at his sister.

All in all, turning, flailing, and attempting to balance weren't movements that went well together and Subaru fell forward, flat on his faace.

This was what he got for not telling his sister, who from the looks of it, had already known all about his shop, which really ruined the element of surprise.

He pouted, mostly to himself, and pushed himself into a sitting position. "Hokuto-channnn," he whined, "you startled me." He glanced up at the other three and smiled sheepishly, blushing slightly.

"You should pay more attention to your surroundings, then!" Hokuto scolded him, adopting a faux-severe expression. Following her own advice, her eyes swept about the shop, taking in the clean cages and various animals, and the three strangers who had been talking to her brother before she had crashed the party.

Then again, upon closer inspection they weren't all strangers. "Sakura-chan!" she exclaimed, smiling cheerfully once more more. "I haven't seen you for a while!"

The other two she didn't know, though she had a feeling she would have to get to know them; the girl with long, wavy hair had a very cheerful expression herself, and Hokuto had a strange feeling that the blonde boy would be ever so amusing.

It took Sakura a moment to realise that anyone else had arrived in the shop as she'd been on the verge of passing out when the little bell pulled her from her stupor.

She jerked her head up and around, and was suddenly confused.

It lasted for only a moment and then things made so much sense. Now, she knew why Subaru had looked so familiar to her! He was a twin to Hokuto, the girl that had helped her out that one time.

"Hokuto-chan," Sakura said softly, rubbing her eyes. "I didn't know you were a twin! It's good to see you again." She smiled at Hokuto, jumping at Naruto's loud proclamation and giggling.

Allen opened the door of the pet shop, a bird cage held in one hand. Sakura had told him about the opening of the store, and he was anxious to see what it was all about. After all, he needed advice about his new canary. Bird ownership was an entirely new thing to him.

"Hi!" he said. "Is this Sumeragi Subaru's pet shop? I'm Allen Walker, Sakura told me about this place. And this is Timcampy."

Sakura looked up as the bell above the shop jingled merrily and beamed as Allen, the boy she'd met earlier came in with a little yellow bird in a cage.

"Walker-san!" she cried, throwing her arms in the air and smiling broadly. "You came!"

Subaru turned at the tinkling of the bell.

"Hello!" he called. "Welcome to Pet Shop Babylon."

He glanced at the canary in the cage and smiled, knowing just what was needed for the little guy. He listened to the man as he explained how he'd heard about the place and blushed, turning to Sakura. "You've told so many people about my shop!"

Subaru turned back to the new comer. "Timcampy? That's an interesting name," he said, leaning forward and beaming at the little canary in the cage. "Hello.

"I'm Subaru," he said, bowing to Allen. "What can I do for you?"

"I sort of inherited this canary a couple of weeks ago," he said. "I just want to make sure he's okay, and that I've been taking care of him properly. I don't know anything about birds at all, this is the first time I've had one. I need to know if I have him in the proper kind of cage, the proper food, that kind of thing." He held out a bag of seed. "This is what I've been feeding him. Oh, and his name? It came from the jewelry ad on the bottom of his cage when I first got him. It was for Timcampy Jewelers."

Subaru smiled as he watched the two leave. Heading to the door and holding it open for Sakura, Himawari, and Naruto.

"It was great seeing you again, Sakura-san. And it was nice meeting you two," he added. "Hope you come back soon!" he waved good-bye and locked up behind them.

Today had been a good day. He had a feeling that Allen would be back, and he already know that Sakura was a loyal customer. Yes, it had been a good day and he thought he and Hokuto should celebrate.
