Gah! You had to bring up world building. My attempts to finish my fanfic are being stymied by the fact that I'm trying to do world-building and a little editing and write the ending at once. Obviously this isn't working. I get to shut off everything else and write the ending. It will probably only take a week. But world-building and character building and everything has sort of creeped back into my brain and have smuggled the inner editor along with them.

It's just easier some days to brainstorm possible ways to process algae into something resembling edible food and calculate the amount of aquaculture that would be required to sustain a population of 50,000 than it is to wrap up the story. Sigh...
