That is definitely no way to start the day. I'm glad Carrie's vitals are well though. I hope she gets out of the hospital soon. *hugs* I am keeping my fingers crossed that 2011 doesn't get any worse and that 2012 will be awesome for you and your family.

It was really not the best start for anyone involved, esp. Carrie. She should be discharged some time between midnight-2am.

She came through the trach change okay. She's still in recovery now, hope to have her discharged anytime between Midnight-2am,

And she's home now. We had some drama with putting her trach tie on/her picking that moment to choke/cough, but she's smiling. A little drugged out and hazy, but her O2 levels are decent and she seems well.

oh wow, reading this entry, my heart really went out to you! :( i'm glad that carrie's okay and back at home now but that must have been terrifying and i'm sorry you had to go through all of that. sending you all of my good thoughts and karma <3

Yeah, I don't handle the sight of blood well at all, so it was just a terrfying time all around for us. Not at all like the past two ER trips though. She's doing very well now and is finally sleeping naturally.
