I say get rid of them all together. I hate credit cards, more trouble than they're worth esp. in these tough economic times and I just stick my debit cards which are easier to manage. I'm even gonna start leaving them at home too -_- Ah, money how I need yet hate thee. And believe it or not, money's been another one of those thing that's been major stress point these last few weeks for me. God.
See, I left the cards at home, in a box on a bookshelf so I wouldn't use them. That's one of the reasons Chase went WTF, mate? b/c I've not used the card for anything other than paying it down for the past, oh, year. Same with the capital one card, it's open just to pay it down. I do want them for the "just in case" matters of life. For example, if something happens with my sister and I need to fly down to Charlotte ASAP, and say, I know rent and bills are due and I don't have the money in the bank, credit cards are my soultion. Horrible things. But I am with you, I use my debit card for everything.
I understand money as a stress point. I really do. Hence my tough as nails budget lifestyle for my trip. Oddly enough, I find transferring a portion of my paycheck into my savings each week is really helping in regards to that. It's like building a virtual nest egg.
Thanks for the hope! We need them. ::fingers crossed::
Well, I didn't find out until about 10:00pm on a saturday night. Since I don't exactly remember where I put the cards, I can't say for sure they were stolen, even though I know they were in my apartment and now cannot be found. Still, I have sent an e-mail off to the managers.
Thanks for the good thoughts!
Life, well, it's been life. And I am a firm believer that god will never give me more than I can handle. I was pissed about the credit cards, and still am, but the accounts are closed and everything is on its way to better. If it was my debit card, well, I'd probably still be screaming. A new week is coming, so I am hopinh it will be better.
I'm so sorry honey! I hate credit cards too, I have one just in case and I'm always worried that it might be stolen! I hope everything goes well with your grandpa, my thoughts are with you! Just hang in there and keep thinking of good things like England!
Life is ok around here, nothing exciting (which is good and bad I guess). Fortunately there is always sth happening, the European Soccer Championship has begun and I'm also trying to arrange my summer vacation! Anything to keep the mind from the boring reality!!!
My cat is doing better! She started eating again, but she is 15 years old with quite a few health problems. I'm just doing the best I can to keep her happy!
WTF? People are lame. I count myself lucky that when my apartment was broken into, I had taken my credit cards with me the very weekend before (still pissed about the whole breaking in thing though and it's 3 years later). Also lame of your apartment managers not knowing who is entering your apartment or at least not doing a better inspection of said people.
I hope everything goes all right with your family and that you have a better summer, or at least a good, relaxing trip to England.
The reason I'm not more freaked out and not more pissed off, is that they didn't steal anything else. Laptop, digital camera, PS2, other computer, all my dvds and cds, everything is still here. Though, I know how lucky I am to have caught the transactions so soon after the happened.
I've not yet heard from my apartment managers, and honestly, there's nothing they can do and I can't prove person x or y stole them. Still, I informed them just in case anyone else has issues. I just can't believe that I've been up here for so long without incident and in these past four weeks, I've had problem after problem here. Bleh.
I am hopeful the summer will turn out better. I am determined to make the trip to England be the best it can be, no matter what.

2. I'm sorry!
3. I had my debit card numbers stolen off the internet, then used and I was crazy pissed. I'm sorry it happened to you.
4. If my cards had been stolen from my apartment, I would have actually lost my mind and found the apartment manager to tell them about it. Heh...
5. I hope your Grandpa will be ok. *thinks good thoughts*
6. I'm sorry you've had such a rough time lately. I hope it starts getting better soon.

England is getting me through this summer. It really is a goal.
The credit card issue still irks me, but it's out of my hands and I'm grateful nothing else got stolen.
Oh, where are you planning on going for summer vacation? Or will you just stay home and relax and get things done?
No repeats so far on the music. ;) Plus, I enjoy them all!
Love,
Shannon

We'll find out tomorrow about Grandpa. He sounded optimistic today.
Eh, the week could have been worse, and I honestly mean that. I just hope next week is tons better.
And yes, Monty Python justice is my favorite kind! ;)
