Love this - how much is similar of course but in this new context, but especially the real fear that Sam has about being found out. The Men of Letters seems to push Dean more toward the 'me and Sam' against the world rather than 'me and Sam and Dad' against the world.
Thanks--I have this thought that John with an institution at his back wouldn't have been able to command quite as much of Dean's loyalty, though still rather a lot; he'd have more left over for Sam, who needs protecting against the rest of the MoL.
Thank you! I figured some things would stick. He still wants "normal," which he defines as "being free to move about as he wishes and deal with the things he studies instead of just studying them."
