I have spent much of the time since Thursday afternoon reading, doped up on pain meds. Abdominal surgery is no fun at all. Recuperating from same is also no fun. But at least the surgery is over and the healing is progressing very well ( Read more... )

Just a note to say I've been thinking about you. I read you, but I don't comment alot.

Glad to see things are progressing as they should with the surgery. Healing slow is one of the few diabetic issues I have so far, it's irritating and you have to be so careful. Glad you don't have to deal with that aspect. Remember to rest and listen to doctors orders and all.

Thanks; you too! I've been really blessed with not having slow-healing issues at all. In fact, I have a really strong immune system that fights off almost anything except respiratory and kidney infections, and is extremely adaptable. I wonder how that will play out in a transplant situation.
