Pandora weaved through the other residents, the ruby fabric of her dress slipping in and out of sight as the slight woman moved gracefully through the small crowd. Topaz eyes skimmed over those present, smiling here and nodding there. She caught sight of Damion and inclined her head in acknowledgment from across the room. She thought to make her way over, but there were others to socialize with between herself and where he stood; she'd likely be caught up in conversation in any case.
So she left it at that for the time being, and went about mingling with the other attendees.
O-Ren had left her sword in her room this time, though she'd tucked a small dagger in her obi. Tiny steps took her into the room, the hem of her kimono fluttering behind her as she moved, and she remained silent, her expression cold. It was clear that while she had thought it prudent to attend, it was not entirely her favourite idea ever.
Lizzy was dressed up in a pretty dress that she'd dragged Saul out to purchase earlier that morning - well, at least, she thought the frills and pink were pretty - Saul had made no comment one way or the other. In fact, he didn't seem to be paying much attention to her at all. She tugged on his hand in a pouting way to focus him - his eyes seemed to be wandering around the hall, as though looking for someone in particular.
Lizzy was pretty sure she knew who that was, and she sulked a bit, dragging Saul over to the punch bowl.
Faith was swaggering around the ball room, eyes darting around curiously as she skimmed the attendants. Her Slayer senses reacted to the presence of at least one vampire, and her body tensed, ready to attack before she calmed herself. It was probably not the smartest idea for her to be the one to start the fighting - even if it was inevitable with all the characters present this evening.
She opted inside to lounge around by the punch bowl, figuring that someone would approach.
Dragon hadn't bothered to dress up. She hadn't seen a point. So she was dressed in black jeans, a patterned tank under a leather jacket, and heavy boots on her feet. She had a cigarette between her fingers, and she was looking for familiar people.
Gabrielle and Isadora happened to be entering at the same time, though the angel deferred to let the woman and her cat enter first. She followed slowly after, careful to keep her distance from the beast.
She watched as Dora paused, looking for someone apparently.
Her own eyes drifted slowly, simply seeing who was present as she flicked her wings. The sapphire dress she wore complimented the dark feathers nicely, she thought, and she smirked vaguely as she stepped deeper into the ballroom.
Tyler had dressed up. By which he reasoned he'd put on a shirt that day, which he reasoned was about what stood for dressing up. He'd even tossed on a jacket for extra class. Mostly he was shooting for a good few hours watching the others and drinking. There had to be drinking, didn't there? He was pretty sure that was a prerequisite.
O-Ren pointedly didn't look at Tyler. She contented herself with watching the others, and wished she'd brought her sword. At least then she'd have had something to hold onto instead of standing around uselessly.
She began to pace around the others, heading in Faith's direction mostly out of coincidence.
Pandora spotted the figure headed toward her, and offered Tory a smile. She'd come to think of him as her pet a bit, and wondered if he wanted her to bite him again. Then that seemed like a silly question, knowing Tory.
She nodded to the other women as they entered, offering each a moment's glance.
The wide, yawning mouth of a darkened portal opened a few inches away from a rather uninhabited wall, while shadowy, translucent tiny little hands reached from the void in an attempt to catch anything before their passage was closed once more. Sadly for them there was not one bit of living flesh with which to take hold before the maker and user of said portal silently stepped forth; clad in nothing more than a rather form fitting pair of hot pants and a cropped top, both deep blood red

Freakish appearing man was freakish. Peyton had been looking around, and she could have sworn there'd been no one there half a minute ago.
And now there was, and where had he come from?
In through a wall?
Or she was a little more tipsy than she'd thought. But no, she'd hardly started drinking. Shrugging, drink in hand, Peyton started over toward the new guy. "Hey," she greeted him casually. "New here?"
Ignorance merely watched the woman wandering over in his general direction, the same smirk still playing upon his features as a hand brushed a few strands of hair from his face. He was sure this one would make lovely music if he given the chance to test this theory, but he had been reminded more than once in the last 5 minutes that he wasn't here to collect any souls, just to make his presence known.
How the gate loved to ruin his fun, and normally he'd be quite defiant about it, but it was the headache of the bitching that Ignorance honestly didn't want to keep listening to over and over again.
Yeah yeah, I heard you the first 15 times.... Put a sock in it will you? mentally rolling his eyes all the same.
"Depends upon your definition of new" was his reply as he remained poised in the same position, arms still crossed against his chest, the ouroboros mark quite visible on his upper left arm. "If by new you mean to this general location, then yes. If you mean new period, then no."
"Obviously not new, period," Pey pointed out, her own arms crossing over her chest, unconscious mimicry of his position. "If that were the case, you'd be a squalling infant," she continued, resisting the urge to roll her eyes.
To be fair, she supposed 'new' could have any number of qualifications and definitions.
"I meant new here, and ... you are. That's just weird. I've never seen anyone ... show up." She frowned. "I heard that sometimes people did, but mostly I thought everyone just... woke up here."
That had been how it had happened with her, after all, and most of the others she'd met.
Uncrossing her arms, she extending a hand. "Peyton," she introduced herself.
Ignorance watched as the little bird fled, his interest slightly waining since he really couldn't do what he wanted to in the first place. Perhaps another time he could snag them and hear them sing, but for the time being he needed to find his actual intended target and 'greet' them.
His best bet was going to wander amongst the groups and scope out the various attendees to find the one he was searching for. This 'Damion' had information from both parties that he was supposed to pass along, not that he really intended to do all of that seeing as how he wasn't an errand boy. No, he was more like the sort that just enjoyed things for the sake of enjoyment, and passing along information was not really enjoyment for enjoyments sake unless it caused all sorts of grief.
Ignorance was party to that quite often before rendering his charges into fleshy confetti and quivering masses of red life. In this case however, he would have to become rather creative in his fun making until he was released to do otherwise.
Damion had been watching the ... festivities, taking careful note of who was interacting with who - and who wasn't interacting at all. He'd seen the phaser scurry away from someone he hadn't met yet, and he'd smirked faintly.
Crossing the open floor toward Ignorance, Damion kept his face carefully neutral.
"Good evening," he greeted Ignorance, pausing near him. He wasn't yet in his personal space - and he had no intention of getting there - but he was close enough for quiet conversation.
Well that had been rather simple of a task, considering it seemed that these people would rather come to him than him coming to them. And it wasn't as if Ignorance didn't notice the slight distance that the current 'individual' was creating by pausing just out of immediate reach.
Not that he was about to do anything mind you, but he still found it to be quite curious all the same. "I guess you could say that, seeing as how there normally isn't any room for introductions or meetings of this sort" he spoke matter of factly as both arms crossed in front of his chest.
His target had been found, but Ignorance wondered how long he could play with them before the Gate became all riled up, and decided to announce anything LOUDLY about getting to the point of it all. He would give it about 5 minutes max, and would be surprised if the old geezer could keep it's trap shut that long.
Damion shrugged his shoulders as he regarded the fellow before him. "I rather thought a ball would be all about introductions," he continued before extending one hand toward him. "Damion Cohen," he introduced himself, though he had a nagging suspicion that Ignorance already knew that.
Lord Voldemort was altogether unimpressed with the distinct lack of Death Eaters at this particular party. He wondered what the reasons for that was. Were they not useful enough to be summoned? He could understand that. Or perhaps there was a delay in place, and they would be summoned now that their leader had arrived to offer them guidance.
Though he did wonder - slightly bemusedly - if the leaders here would allow him to lead his troops, or if they would insist on having some say, even if they had no right to it. He supposed it didn't matter either way. So long as they stayed out of his business, he was content to stay out of theirs and follow the rules as they were issued.
Though. If that conditioned ever changed... well. He knew who would come out on top.
He didn't lean against any structures - he didn't need to rest against anything, or offer that illusion to anyone - but he did hang back from the crowds, content to merely survey them until further noticed. Though if he was engaged, he supposed he would have to socialize.
"You know, if I hadn't seen you moving, I would have thought you were a corpse" Ignorance made a rather lovely little comment, a smirk lifting a corner of his mouth.
The sin had been leaning on the wall, just observing the goings on before deciding if he would rather just go back to Limbo until he got a call from 'Damion'; and now he had some hopeful entertainment for the time being.
The corners of his lips curved into a small smile, and though it was tempting, he did not angle his body to face the voice - though he did turn his head slightly so that it would be clear whom he was speaking to, since the voice had come from slightly behind him.
"If I hadn't heard you speak, I might have thought you were intelligent," he said calmly, before he turned his head back to face the rest of the hall and continue his observations.
Ignorance snorted "Please, you resemble a corpse, and I've seen and produced plenty enough to know one when I see one. Also, you smell quite ripe, might want to do something about that before you fall to pieces there on the spot."
Ignorance placed a single index finger to his chin while speaking "And I would hardly agree to the comment about my lack of intelligence. By the drivel coming from your mouth, I would have to say you're the one lacking in that department"
Pandora watched Tory walk away and nodded to herself, still debating whether or not she would make an attempt to meet up with him later. Presuming, of course, that he wasn't otherwise distracted by then.
Now without a conversation partner, she continued to weave through the crowd, though she was looking more intently for Damion now. There had been talk of dancing when they'd first met, and she was vaguely interested in that. Not to mention that she had yet to see him since their meeting earlier in the day. Her respects, it would seem, had yet to be paid.
Damion was perusing the floor as well, though he smiled as he saw Pandora separating from her current conversation. He inclined his head in a nod to her, a smile ghosting across his lips. It was inviting her to come chat, if she was at all inclined - and acknowledging her presence if she wasn't.
"It finds me mostly pleased but vaguely annoyed." He smiled. "Such is the life of the man in charge is it not?" He chuckled and shrugged before he admired her attire. "Lovely dress," he murmured. "The color suits you admirably."
He paused. "Are you enjoying yourself?" He thought this sort of event suited her well, but he was curious to know if he was pulling it off all right.
