Pandora watched Tory walk away and nodded to herself, still debating whether or not she would make an attempt to meet up with him later. Presuming, of course, that he wasn't otherwise distracted by then.

Now without a conversation partner, she continued to weave through the crowd, though she was looking more intently for Damion now. There had been talk of dancing when they'd first met, and she was vaguely interested in that. Not to mention that she had yet to see him since their meeting earlier in the day. Her respects, it would seem, had yet to be paid.

Damion was perusing the floor as well, though he smiled as he saw Pandora separating from her current conversation. He inclined his head in a nod to her, a smile ghosting across his lips. It was inviting her to come chat, if she was at all inclined - and acknowledging her presence if she wasn't.

She was, of course, inclined to speak with Damion, and she padded casually over, a smile beginning to form on her features as she neared.

"Good evening," she offered, "How does it find you?"

Hands folded neatly before her as she regarded him, topaz gaze taking in his attire.

"It finds me mostly pleased but vaguely annoyed." He smiled. "Such is the life of the man in charge is it not?" He chuckled and shrugged before he admired her attire. "Lovely dress," he murmured. "The color suits you admirably."

He paused. "Are you enjoying yourself?" He thought this sort of event suited her well, but he was curious to know if he was pulling it off all right.

"Thank you," she replied, inclining her head slightly, "I must say, I fully approve of your attire as well."

Though she was certain that a good deal of it wasn't something typically worn in her world. That was hardly relevant, mind you, and she thought little of it.

"Thus far, I have found the affair to my liking," she agreed, "Though I'll admit, I am not entirely confident that everyone here will continue to get along as they are now."

She didn't think everyone there was really suited to this sort of thing, after all.

"Oh, I don't imagine everyone will get along well for the rest of the evening," he confessed, rolling his shoulders lightly in a shrug. "But that's a good thing to discover as well - who gets along with who, and who can tolerate who ... and who moves in what circles."

Near black eyes roved slowly over the room before resettling on her, a soft smile briefly curving his lips.

"An enlightening experience then," she murmured, and she wondered a little what he thought of her interaction with Tory, "Will you be taking corrective action should there be a conflict, or just letting it play out?"

Both were equally valid reactions, though the latter might require cleaning up after. She did hope there wouldn't be blood involved should a fight break out; it would have been incredibly embarrassing to have the lust overcome her in present company.

"Depends on how evenly paired the combatants are, and how intense I feel the fight is. If it looks like I need to step in, I will. Otherwise, I'll let them get it out of their systems."

He smiled faintly. So far, everyone seemed to be behaving. And some that he might have had to worry about were either not present or had opted to head home.

"I suppose you weren't asking that because you intend to tangle with someone?" His gaze shifted toward the angel who was conversing with Pandora's previous conversation partner.

"Surely not," she agreed, "It's not in my nature to instigate such things."

She followed his gaze and smirked slightly. Tory, while amusing, was hardly a subject of contention. An amusement, perhaps, and an indulgence. But if he decided to cease interaction with Pandora, she'd hardly be inclined to raise a stink about it.

Tilting her head slightly, she regarded him again, and she wondered vaguely how precisely he had managed to garner a top spot in the short time he'd been here. How he'd gone from clearly influential newcomer to figurehead in the span of a few days.

He chuckled softly. "Fair enough," he agreed as he turned his attention back to her. A smile curved across his lips as his brows elevated in silent question of her expression. "Penny for your thoughts?" he murmured as he studied her in return. He did wonder what she was wondering, and moreover if she'd share.

"I was just wondering at you," she admitted softly, gesturing slightly toward him as she spoke, "At how you've managed to garner the power you have now in such a short time."

She shrugged an alabaster shoulder after speaking, shrugging off the words.

"Idle thoughts," she murmured, though of course they hadn't been as idle as she made them out to be. In fact, she had some very particular thoughts, though she chose not to share them.

"Ah," he said. "Blood ties and birth," was his response, though he was disinclined to elaborate further. It was truth enough, in its way. He was the son of a Chaos Mage, and who better to lead the side of chaos than one born into the power?

"I hardly think there's anything idle about wondering how someone could usurp the power of Chaos' supposed chosen," he pointed out, though he smiled a little. It did make him wonder who - if anyone - else was wondering about his quick rise to power.

"Perhaps not," she agreed, "Though I wonder how many would admit to such a line of thinking. It hardly seems courteous to question the events that have passed us here."

Of course, that counted her amongst the discourteous perhaps, but Pandora's musings had been more along the admiring line of thinking rather than the accusatory one. A smile curved her lips as she assessed him again. He was a mystery to her, and she found that intriguing for reasons she didn't really understand, that something about him piqued her curiosity in ways it hadn't been for decades. When everything around you was mundane, it was refreshing to come across someone of interest.

"Though I'm certain you could handle such inquiries if you came across them," she ventured, and she thought he'd likely not give all that much away if questioned. After all, he'd hardly said anything to her either.

"I can't imagine the villainous, chaotic sorts we have gathered here are overly concerned with courtesy," he pointed out softly. Truthfully, he thought the transition had gone rather smoothly, all things considered. But Acevona hadn't exactly been a stellar leader, or well known among the residents.

Near black eyes panned the crowd again before he shifted his focus to Pandora, extending one hand toward her. "Would you care to dance? Or were you simply making the rounds and it was my turn for a bit of banter with you?"

Her smiled broadened into something more genuine, and she placed her cool hand in his.

"I'd be delighted," she replied, "I do believe you mentioned your skill at such things being so great as to belittle my own."

She found that slightly difficult to believe, but it was possible. After all, he was clearly not of her world; perhaps he could teach her a thing or two.

"Did I?" Damion chuckled. "Suppose I should live up to my words then," he continued. Turning, he led her to the dance floor. Resting a hand on her waist and slipping the other over her shoulder, he smiled to her.

When the music had kicked up properly, he began to move with her, slowly at first until he was sure she'd caught onto the step, and then adding a bit to it. Dark eyes gleamed playfully with the challenge of keeping his skill above hers, and wondering if he could do it indefinitely.
