WHO: Hidaka Ken (no_more_denying), Fujimiya Aya (garnet_orchid) WHAT: Ken finally stops fighting the Call. WHERE: An abandoned house WHEN: A few hours after this log
Aya held Ken close, stroking his hair and purring softly to reassure him. He'd known it would hurt because his own transformation had hurt - and the agony had seemed to go on forever, though it was really only an hour.
He nuzzled Ken's hair and sighed softly, swishing his tail. Not much longer, now... and Ken would be with him forever, and they would be free.
Ken pressed himself closer to Aya, tears running down his cheeks from the pain. If he were capable of it, he'd feel ashamed--showing such weakness in front of Aya. But he wasn't in a state that he could care.
He felt like he was burning all over again, as his body shifted and changed. He couldn't tell, but it felt like the pain might be lessening, if only just a little.
Aya's ears flicked a bit and he looked down when Ken relaxed slightly. He was worried, yes, but he knew it would pass. It was always scary at first.
His tail kept swishing as he waited. He would be patient as long as he needed to be. This was something he wanted - freedom, and Ken by his side - and he was willing to do whatever was necessary to have those things. Ken was willing, thankfully.
"Better?" he asked softly, his voice a low rumble.
"...Aa. A little," he responded--it was, really. His eyes blinked open--slit-pupiled now, glowing slightly in the darkness, and his ears twitched against the underside of Aya's chin.
The remnants of the pain faded even more, and in its place was awareness, sharp and clean. Aya's smell was all around him, his warmth as well, and Ken started to purr. Much better.
A smile curved his lips when Ken started to purr, and Aya tightened his grip a bit, resting his chin on Ken's head. "I'm glad," he said softly. "I'm sorry it had to hurt so much."
He purred and nuzzled Ken gently, his fingers squeezing softly where they rested on the other boy's arms. Ken was relaxed now, and he seemed happy. Aya couldn't smell any fear or pain on him anymore, and that was a relief in and of itself. He was perfectly happy to remain where they were as long as the other liked.
