As Kisa made herself comfortable between them, Yuki smiled in relief. Kisa might not have known it, but she was a very strong girl. At such a young age, she'd been through so much, hadn't she? Everyone had their moments of weakness, but he'd seen her pull through before. He was positive she could do it again.

"See?" He said, smiling a litle brighter as he scratched gently behind her ears. "You can do this, Kisa. We can do this together."

It was so hard to have to watch her go through this. Someone like her-- someone as young and as amazing as her-- shouldn't have had to go through his family's curse, let alone something as terrible as this.

Why her? Yuki would have gladly taken her place, as long as it meant she was safe. Of course he was struggling, but not nearly as hard as she was.

"Thank you," he said to Guy. "...You don't know how much this means."

She could now ignore the haunting call, since her heart was soothed by their words.

Yes, together... Kisa had no more to fear.

The cub purred loudly and contentedly between them both, calmly settled with her head atop her paws. The fight had been taxing, draining at all her energy reserves and leaving her nerves frazzled.

Slowly she slipped away into an exhausted sleep, heart lightened by their presence.

Guy looked up to Yuki, a bit surprised at being thanked. This was something that he'd felt compelled to do, and that he hoped anyone else would have done. He smiled sheepishly. "It's no problem. I'm just glad we could help."

He looked back at that little cub. She was falling asleep; hell, he would be too after an ordeal like that. "Poor girl..."
