Claire set down the little journal, closing it again. She'd been reading over the conversations she'd been having with people again-- this Adam guy would surely be interesting to meet.

If he was really over four-hundred--

Sighing, she got up off the bedroom floor, brushing off the back of her new pants. It was probably heavily influenced by her dad, but... she just felt more comfortable blending in.

"I'm coming," she called back, setting the journal down on the sofa on her way to the makeshift dining room. "Who's all coming?"

There was no way Kanda could deny the punishing hunger clawing at his stomach, and so he accepted the invitation from this "Peter" individual to go to his house and eat chicken soup. He wasn't much of a soup person, but it was not in his nature to make such mediocre complaints, especially when it came to the bare necessities. He hadn't eaten in many hours; bad idea.

And so, with a begrudging sigh, Kanda followed the directions that had been given to him, and soon enough found the building as described. Not exactly sure what he was getting himself into this time (considering everything that had happened with that "Schuldirt" fellow -not an episode he wanted to repeat), Kanda stuffed his journal into his pocket, lightly toyed with the hilt of his katana with one hand, and knocked on the door with the other.

Adam was at least grateful for the new clothes.

Even though they were the sort of fashion trends Adam would have never expected to make a comeback.

It didn't take him long at all to find the location Peter had described despite his not being familiar at all with this place. He was still obviously not settled in anywhere and the prospect of some form of familiarity was a comfort.

Not to mention the fact that he had missed Peter and their conversations, regardless of this Peter being from some point in time before that.

As he approached, he saw someone else was already there and Adam watched as he knocked on the door, not missing the presence of weaponry on him. He frowned. Dinner was hardly an occasion for that, and Adam wasn't sure where his sword had ended up. If this meant he was unprepared for something, he wasn't going to be the slightest bit amused.

Then again, this man just might be into accessorizing.

Adam inclined his head in greeting to the stranger and waited for someone to answer the door.

"Remember that man from our world? Adam?" It was weird saying things like "our world" and "their world", but it was true. Peter must have come from a totally different New York than some other people around here. It all felt like a bad science-fiction movie, but since when did things ever start being normal for him? "Also, someone else I met. They should be com - "

At that second, there was a knock on his door. Smiling, Peter crossed the room, and opened the door wide, finally seeing the Grumpy Man in the flesh. Behind him, he could recognize Adam from his portrait. Thankfully, both of them had decided to show up for dinner.

"Hey, come in!" Peter greeted them cheerfully, stepping aside.

"Oh yeah--" Claire said, thoughtfully chewing on her lower lip, considering whether it would be a good idea to tell Peter now that one of her new friends might be showing up, too.

...better now than never.

"I, ah, might have invited someone I met, too. He's really nice." And he reminds me of my friend Zach. "His name is John and he's around my age. I ran into him at the market today; he was so lost-- he seems like a great guy!" she rambled down, giving Peter her best I'm innocent! smile as he went to answer the door.

Eying the man coming inside, Claire frowned. He was armed! "Peter, are you sure--"

She didn't get to finish the sentence before she saw the Adam guy coming up, prompting her instantly to flash a bright smile.
