Kanda crossed his arms over his chest and made a face at her. "And you're still loud and annoying." Oh yes, she was. He remembers every time he saw her with Bak she was either yelling at how stupid he was or beating the poor idiot down.

Regardless. Kanda remembered how she took care of them while they were here. Even if he had thought it to be a dream. Even if he had begrudged her when she did nothing to stop them from killing him. He had hated her because Alma trusted her and yet she followed their orders.

But that had been a long time ago and now he understood many things he didn't back then. He only wished Alma understood why he was with the Black Order and why he had decided to keep on living.

"Come here and say that closer, you manner-less shit!" She threatened, her eyes narrowed and waving a fist in the air -- the one opposite the side with her wounds, so it wouldn't pull at them and hurt.

Still loud and annoying -- it had only been overnight that things had suddenly changed. Of course she'd still be the same. But putting it in those words was harsh, and clearly not true.

She paused, arm in the air, as her eyes scanned over Kanda's expression and she slowly lowered her arm to rest her hand back in her lap. The irritated look on Fou's face softened, and she looked away.

His expression was completely aloof. That was a problem because, much like Daisya had pointed out, its when something happened to him, that he made that face. Someone who knew him, like Fou, would see that.

He settled with a scorn.

"He doesn't know anything, does he?" He finally said after a minute of silence.

Fou tensed, much like she had whenever a younger Kanda had brought up a topic she didn't want to talk about. Like Edgar and his wife, and the look on her face when he talked about them.

"...He always seemed to know something wasn't right," She mumbled, her lips hardly moving, the rest of her body frozen as she stared out the window. "As a kid, here. He's smart."

There was a long pause before she spoke again. "...But I can tell... He's got no idea." She tilted her head to the side slightly, looking over at Kanda out of the corner of her eyes.

"And you." His tone of voice was stern.

"You knew all along?" He judges her answer by the look on her face. His jaw was tight with tension. He was asking much more than her knowledge of Alma's death.

"Did you or did you not know that Central kept Alma Karma barely alive?" His hands were balled into fists and his nails bit into his skin hard.
He had to know and he dared Fou to even try and lie to him.
