[Even bouncers have the night off sometimes, right? So here's Jan, slinking over to plop down on a stool next to Marcus. It definitely looks like he's in full-scale pout mode here.]

'Sup, fuckface.

[Marcus takes the first shot of many, slamming the glass back on the bar and picking up a second before turning to Jan.]

Hey, how have you been?

More shitty than usual, less shitty than I could be.

[don't mind him if it looks like he's eying that drink a little enviously]

You?

I'm not much better. Since my usual training partner seems to have been sucked up into the sky, I figured getting completely wasted wasn't a terrible alternative to dealing with this place.

[Marcus puts away two more shots before noticing Jan's staring.]

What do you drink? I'll buy you a round. It's no fun drinking alone.

[War's pissed. She's been pissed since she got back and discovered Roy was gone - dead, a little part of her dares to whisper, until she sesnarls and drives it back into the dark where it belongs - and she doesn't know why she's pissed, which just makes it worse. And a pissed-off War bodes ill for just about everyone around her.

The emotion rolls off her in near-palpable waves as she shoulders the door open roughly and moves to the bar in long, ground-swallowing strides, people scurrying to get out of her way. She takes a seat on a quickly-vacated stool, and doesn't even have to say anything - there's a drink on the bar before she even has time to open her mouth. And that's just fine with her - she doesn't particularly care what she's drinking, as long as it burns.

Better watch out, boys - Bar Hades is bound to get a little wild tonight.]

[By this point the alcohol is starting to have an effect on Marcus, and he almost stumbles on his way over to sit next to Red. He can feel the aura around her, but like so many other things, he could care less right now.]

Bartender, next round for this lady is on me.

[Marcus puts away another shot before turning to the woman beside him.]

Hey Red.

[As if she's been paying for drinks thus far. Still, she puts it back just like all the others before favoring Marcus with a rather disinterested glance. And her eyes aren't glowing - not yet, at least - but there is a sort of dull burn behind them for anyone who might care to take a closer look.]

[Marcus has seen Red at what he hopes is her worst, so this doesn't frighten him that much. Then again, it may be the alcohol that's keeping the fear at bay. Either way, he passes another drink to her.]

Not in a very chatty mood today?
