WHO: Iggy [blind_bomber], Nill [wingsnotwords. [Open to their housemates!] WHAT: The aftermath of Alma's maiming of Nill. :C WHERE: Home! WHEN: Prior to this post.
[ Nill finds she's okay with walking as she wraps her arms loosely around Iggy's neck when she's lifted. She remembers how wobbly flying could be, and decides that walking is definitely okay.
But she realizes soon after they get outside that things are not going to work that way after all. She doesn't protest, but she also doesn't comply with Iggy's request almost like she hadn't even heard him. Of course, aside from her arms tightening around his neck. She can find the strength to do that instead as she closes her eyes as tight as she can, buries her face into his neck, and refuses to let go no matter how much it hurts.]
[ooc; it just occurred to be that this log consists of people with some sort of crippling physical quality, and people with wings/can fly and/or all of the above. ...Please don't tell me im the only one amused.]
[His helmet pick up the woman by the gates clearly while they are still a ways off. He increases his speed a little more to make sure the kids don't get caught up in some trap. If something did go wrong, he just hoped the two beings in his pouch could escape.]
I'm heading down.
[He dives towards the ground, changing his trajectory at the last instant to slow him down and landing in a crouch to break his fall. A quick scan showed nothing threatening. He hoped they were right. If not, his rifle was at the ready. Finally he addresses the woman.]
[Iggy tracks him, follows him down - and again, makes as smooth a landing as is possible, holding Nill tight to keep her from being shifted around too much.]
You all right?
[He leans in to murmur to Nill, still holding her firmly in his arms - and that's probably an odd picture, this big, winged blind kid cradling a rather small, winged girl to his chest.
He doesn't really want to let her go - wants to keep her close in case something happens. He can make a quick getaway, keep her out of the range of his bombs, if he has to use any of them.]
[She is apprehensive, since this was not a voice that she recognized from the journals. She grips her staff with one hand, but keeps a mind to stay loose, to be nonthreatening. The last thing this poor child needed was to be frightened of her too.]
Where is she?
[She knelt, setting her staff on the ground and offering both hands into space; her eyes were a milky blue, empty, like two full moons. Delicate, manicured fingers beckoned gently.]
[ Nill lifts her head up just enough to lean her cheek against Iggy's when he leans close to her and speaks. She nods softly. She's still in pain and she still feels weak, but she doesn't feel any worse. A good sign, probably.
When she hears Laksha's voice, she lifts her head completely to look towards the woman. She recognized the voice and once her eyes focus and settle on the woman, she recognizes her face. Her arms slide back, and her hands settle loosely on Iggy's shoulders, grasping at the fabric of his shirt gently. ]
