O'Malley sauntered through the streets like he owned the place. Which was entirely possible. O'Malley owned most places. Except for Florida. Too many swimming pools.

After a few false starts - hey, it wasn't his fault that apparently trashcans couldn't keep their lids to themselves in this crazy place - he finally reached the little café where they had arranged to meet. Duchess was sitting just in front, pretty as ever. "Hey, baby," he purred, giving her a saucy grin.

Duchess laughed lightly. Oh, this was definitely the O'Malley she knew. Always such a charmer, he was.

"Oh Thomas, it's so good to see you."

It would have been even better if the children had been with him, but alas. They were not. She sighed a little, slightly upset. It was worrisome that they should not be here with her. Who knew what sorts of trouble would befall them?

"I have been staying with a mademoiselle named Larxene."
