It wasn't really a real crime, not exactly. But then, a few guys that were mostly locked up now as the exceptions, the island didn't really see a whole lot of real crimes. Which was good! Impulse couldn't complain about that. The fact did, however, make a guy shattering pottery for no decipherable reason stick out a little more.

Impulse had moved into the area just in time to hear the shatters and the shouts start up, had zipped into the shop for a full .4 seconds to figure out what had happened, and then caught up to the fleeing figure of the -- the culprit? Was that the right word here? He wasn't sure. He paced him easily, slowing down from super speeds to run a while next to him.

"What'd that pottery and stuff ever do to you?" he asked, a little curiously. Maybe he was just having a bad day or something. He didn't look very angry or grumpy, though.

He was almost certain he had lost the Crazy Broom Man by now, so he gradually began to slow-- of course, he wasn't entirely expecting someone to appear beside him out of nowhere. He was so startled by the sudden figure that he let out a high-pitched squeak and tripped, falling flat on his face with an extra "oomph".

Falling on his face wasn't something Link was unused to, though, so he immediately shot his gaze back up to stare with wide eyes, completely missing the Magic Man's question.

Impulse skidded to a stop when the guy he'd been keeping pace with suddenly stopped keeping pace. Stopped running all together -- stopped standing, even. He turned around to face the guy and in just a fraction of a second he was crouching in front of him, eyes wide enough to make a matching set between them.

"Whoa, hey! Are you okay?" He risked a glance up over his head for the angry shop owner, but he seemed to have been left behind. That was probably good, even if Impulse figured he'd probably have to take the pottery-smasher back to apologize, or pay, or whatever it was you did when you'd gone and smashed stuff in someone's store.

Automatically he nodded as a reply, sneezing to rid his nose of dust and slowly getting back to his feet. Yes, he wasn't hurt or anything, he'd taken worse falls than that without getting hurt and he wasn't going to start now.

Standing up didn't really bring the Magic Man out of his vision's range, since everybody seemed very tall here compared to him, and it was pretty easy to keep the staring contest going straight. He wanted very much to ask how the Magic Man had appeared like that, but he was curious to see whether he would find out on his own, for now.

Luckily, the Crazy Broom Man didn't seem to be a very fast runner and Link managed to elude him fairly easily, though he was still convinced he should probably stay away from that area for the next little while. The Crazy Broom Man might be in a better mood next week, or something. As he lessened his pace, he was suddenly very very distracted by a mass of white and pink in his peripheral vision and curiously he turned, staring mystified at a girl pointing. At... him, apparently ( ... )

His staring caused her to blush even before she'd finished her speech, but she surprisingly managed to keep her composure until the end. She wasn't going to think about how. After all, this stranger's antics were more important. He looked confused.

Very confused.

Chibi Moon relaxed her posture and cocked her head to the side, watching him curiously. He didn't appear to want to pose a threat--

Maybe she'd mistaken his actions?

She stepped closer, nearly closing the distance between them, and held her hands out, palms facing upward. "Can I see it?" She flashed a bright, wide smile for extra Cute Charm.

He was relieved to see that she no longer seemed to be threatening him, so he really didn't feel the need not to comply with what she wanted from him-- obediently, he nodded and held it out to her. He was only able to stop staring at her somewhat blinding smile once he realized it might come off as strange to gaze so intensely for such a reason.
