WHO: Link.
WHAT: Blissfully unaware of all the shit going down for everyone else, Link is searching for rupees. And failing really badly.
WHERE: SOMEWHERE NEAR A POTTERY SHOP.
WHEN: Sometime today.
AAAUUUH SORRY FOR THE LENGTH I SWEAR I WON'T DO IT AGAIN.
Link was starting to have the feeling he was missing something in this scenario. Well, maybe not 'starting' as it had been building for a long time now, really-- but the point was that staying in one place for a long time was something very bizarre to him. He hadn't stayed any more than a week on any island since he'd left for his journey, and now this one was starting to feel like a permanent settlement, which was not entirely something Link was inclined to accept.
Yes, he was clearly doing something wrong. Had he missed a hint along the way? Or maybe he was supposed to do something before he could figure a way out? Either way, he was on his own in this and not even the little blue bunny with the azu noises he'd accompanied before was around now. Still, just sitting around wasn't going to do anything for his situation, so Link finally made the decision to get about doing whatever he could think of to better his chances of figuring out his predicament.
Naturally, the first thing to do was gather more rupees, in case he needed to actually buy anything. Of course, he'd stored those shiny coin thingies away a long time ago; he couldn't really figure out what he was supposed to do with them yet besides fling them over counters at people so they would give him something to eat. They could very well have been a replacement currency, and if that was the case then he was running out of it fast and he had best find more rupees to make up for it.
A trip to the grassier sides of the island proved to be very fruitless, surprisingly-- usually he knew just the places to look for the gems, but he seemed to be down on his luck today. It didn't make to much of a difference though, as he'd seen a pottery shop somewhere before and he could easily settle with those. Once he did arrive, the loud crashes from his sword seemed to alert people a lot faster than normal, which was extremely odd; he wasn't doing anything wrong, he'd always used shops like this when he needed to? And suddenly there was a very angry-looking man coming his way wielding a broom in both hands and Link's keen intelligence told him he should probably run, preferably immediately.
Which would explain in descriptive terms, why he was currently sprinting in a panic down a fairly busy street in hopes of eluding the Crazy Broom Man.
Maybe he was just having a really bad day.
