It was a perfect opportunity for Gray to find a job too. If he were to survive on this island, then he needed to earn money. Getting a job would be simple as long as the dope doesn't screw up.

He walked into the cute cafe and he knew that this wasn't his thing or what he was aiming for, but he pushed himself forward. Gonna give it a try and see where it takes him and the embarrassment if he does get hired.

"...Hello?"

Their first!

Kobato bounded to him, near toppling a table. She rushed to him, seizing his hand with both of hers and shaking it vigorously with the grip of a python.

"Hello! Welcome to the White Bun Cafe!"

Rukia approached with less enthusiasm, more calm in his arrival. Rukia stood next to a booth that was to be used for interviewing, some papers held in her hand.

"Are you here to apply?"

Gray nearly jolted in shock when the younger girl grabbed his hand. Things were already happening too suddenly.

"I heard you need some employees." He nodded with a grin.

She slipped in a bit late, having had to convince the blue monster that had become her new companion that no, really, she didn't need him to escort her. As fond as she was of the guy, having him banging around the cafe wasn't going to help anything.

She offered the girls a smile, waiting until things were settled before she approached them. "How's it going so far?"

Rukia glanced up from her seat, leaning forward onto the table. "It is what was expected. There seem to be some here who have not had experience in food services, though are looking for work."

It was difficult for her to hold anything against them for it, as it was the position she found herself in over a year ago. Many who arrived in Rivelata were from a variety of worlds, it was to be expected their own experiences would vary.

Jilly offered her a reassuring smile that was a bit lopsided. "That's how it goes sometimes. They aren't going to get any experience if someone doesn't hire them."

Pulling out a chair, she plopped down next to Rukia. "I can't say I really expected a lot of people with waitressing and line cooking experience to show up, but it's not like they can't be taught." Another lopsided smile, as if she had already accepted how ridiculous the situation could become. "We might just have to deal with those first few wild months where everyone is still learning..."

Rukia thought back to her first days at the cafe, having accepted the job out of necessity. She had no experience in any sort of mundane work, outside of the occasional papers done for her captain. It was an adjustment that had to be made. She had adjusted quickly, however. It wasn't the first time she was put in such a situation.

"We must hope they are flexible to new sorts of work. It is possible some may learn quickly."

[Admittedly when he heard the place was called The White Bun Cafe, some part of him had cringed. The name itself brought up some memories of Lizzie and her 'cute' decorations that he would rather not think about for a few more centuries. But the job was necessary and coincided perfectly with the skills that he still possessed, so off he went to the interview.

He was doing all of this without consulting his Young Master, of course.

He arrives promptly, glancing around to look for some person that may fit the look of that bubbly girl he spoke with over the journals.]

Of course, the man in the sleek black suit! Kobato hurried to him eagerly, and was so entranced by his beauty, she trotted to a stop and just stared in awe. Such handsome features, even her heart fluttered a little.

"Mr Sebastian!" She gasped, her face filled with childlike wonder.

"Welcome. I'm Kobato Dylandy. We talked earlier."

[Jilly is less entranced, although she will admit she's impressed with the way the guy presents himself. She pushes herself up a bit awkwardly to greet the man. She gives him a welcoming smile as the two approach Rukia's table.]

Hiya, I'm Jilly Coppercorn. I'm one of the cooks here.

[Rukia looks over to them, unsurprised by his arrival. She had spent enough time around nobles to recognize someone of the upper class.]

Rukia Kuchiki. I am a waitress here.

Makoto had set out bright and early to head to the cafe. She was a little nervous...she'd never had a job before, but work at a cafe was definitely something someone like her could handle. The little manju bun decorating the storefront made her smile for a brief instant. It reminded her of Usagi.

She decided to look for the pink-haired girl she'd spoken to through the journals first -- Kobato, she'd said her name had been.

Kobato was, at the moment, hefting a macaroon into her mouth. Her cheeks were puffed out like a chipmunk when Makoto first entered, so she swallowed the mouthful with a gulp and trotted to greet her.

"Hello! I'm Kobato. Are you here for the interview?"

Rukia remained in her seat, content on letting Kobato greet the interviewers. Sitting at the booth to the side, she shifted to the list of applicants.

"What is your name?"

Makoto smiled at Kobato and bowed politely, Eastern style. The girl's childlike enthusiasm made her feel a bit more comfortable. "That's right. It's nice to meet you."

To Rukia, she bowed again, and responded, "I'm Makoto Kino."

'Bring a sample', the girl had said, some sort of baked good, so Iggy had done just that. He'd debated for a while over just what might convince someone to give him a job, and had finally decided on simple and sweet - a batch of warm cookies, with the chocolate chips rich and melted.

And made entirely from scratch, of course - Iggy had no idea how he knew how to make things without recipes, but it just...happened. Maybe it had something to do with his enhanced senses making up for his lack of sight, or something, but whatever it was, he wasn't complaining.

He managed to get to the cafe with little trouble, and he reached out to open the door with one hand, balancing the plate of cookies on the other.

"Uh, hi?" he called, a little hesitantly. "I'm here about that job offer you mentioned in the journals. I have cookies?"

The smell of cookies lured Kobato to the door from meandering about in the kitchen. Her eyes were wide and dilated like an excited cat's.

"Oooh, cookies!" The girl reached to grab one, but when he didn't follow her hand with his eyes, she took his hand instead.

"Hello, I'm Kobato. Would you like to have a seat so we can start?"

He'd heard the patter of approaching footsteps, so the sudden grip on his hand didn't startle him any - not to mention that all the time he'd spent with Nill had gotten him more used to people touching him out of the blue.

"I'm Iggy," he answered, letting her lead him where she would - he didn't think he'd ever been in here before, so the layout was unfamiliar, and the helping hand was appreciated. He lowered the plate of cookies - her voice had come from rather far down, so he imagined she had to be rather smaller than he was (not that it was surprising: most people were).

"Did you want one?"

"Yes, please!"

Kobato was very small, so she was able to take a cookie easily. She popped one in her mouth and squirmed with pleasure.

"mmm! It tastes so good!"

She found him a seat and scootched to sit across from him.
