It was a perfect opportunity for Gray to find a job too. If he were to survive on this island, then he needed to earn money. Getting a job would be simple as long as the dope doesn't screw up.

He walked into the cute cafe and he knew that this wasn't his thing or what he was aiming for, but he pushed himself forward. Gonna give it a try and see where it takes him and the embarrassment if he does get hired.

"...Hello?"

Their first!

Kobato bounded to him, near toppling a table. She rushed to him, seizing his hand with both of hers and shaking it vigorously with the grip of a python.

"Hello! Welcome to the White Bun Cafe!"

Rukia approached with less enthusiasm, more calm in his arrival. Rukia stood next to a booth that was to be used for interviewing, some papers held in her hand.

"Are you here to apply?"

Gray nearly jolted in shock when the younger girl grabbed his hand. Things were already happening too suddenly.

"I heard you need some employees." He nodded with a grin.

"Would you like something to drink?" It was instinctive, so much that Kobato forgot this was a potential employee and not a customer.

Rukia should have known Kobato would treat the applicants in such a way. However, if they were not comfortable with her behavior, she doubted they would be able to work with her daily.

The small Shinigami took her seat at a nearby booth, arranging the papers on the table in front of her. If there were other applicants, it was best they did not waste time.

"Who are you? What position are you applying for?"

"No thanks." He replied back to Kobato gently. He was used to all types of people, so a new person with a new personality didn't bother him in the least.

"Yeah, I'm Gray Fullbuster." He scratched the back of his head before letting his arm hang at his side, "What positions are available again?" He didn't take a moment to look it over. He only noted that they were looking for employees.

Kobato's eyes darted. She wanted to believe the best in everyone, but she loved this cafe, and wanted everyone else to love it, too. She brought Rukia a glass of water and sat it on the table, careful to keep it from the papers.

Rukia made a note on the list to record his name. "We are looking for waiters to tend to the customers, as well as cooks and other assorted jobs."

She glanced over at Kobato, somewhat surprised. "Ah... Thank you."

Her eye turned back to Gray expectantly. There was little use in extended politeness when it was merely matters of business. "Sit down, and we will begin the interview."

Gray listened and sat down in the nearby seat with his hands resting on the table. He gave the cafe another look around with his eyes, before smiling at the girls.

"It'll be simple enough if I go ahead and take the server position."

Kobato shifted nervously, scooting into the booth next to Rukia, skirts rustling.

"Why did you choose this cafe?" She asked, tipping her head.

Rukia kept the small quill in her hand for jotting down notes, though her gaze was no less firm because of it. She watched his behavior closely.

"Have you had any experience working in a cafe or restaurant?"

"I needed a way to earn money." There was no reason why he chose it and the responding to Rukia, he said, "I haven't worked in anything like this. Back home, we just accept missions."

Kobato nudged her foot against Rukia's under the table. She fidgeted nervously and did a poor job of keeping her features neutral. If this man just wanted any job, and had never done anything like this...

After feeling something knock against her foot, Rukia cast a quick glance at the young girl next to her. Kobato's unease did not go unnoticed, though there was little she could do until the interview was complete.

She jotted down a few notes on the paper. "Have you had social experience in dealing with others?

"Tons of that." He grinned with confidence. If you're in a guild, there was no way you can't join in the fun of rowdy people. Taking on missions include talking to the clients and getting reward in return. Getting a job like this would be similar.
