[She heard the door open, followed by the voice that was so familiar from the journals. She tilted her head a little, looking over at the door from where she was sitting behind the counter. Was that Kiba? He looked familiar to the pictures in the journals.

Nill hopped off the seat by the counter, making her way over to the door to greet Kiba. She froze, though, at the sight of the large dog who'd stuck his head in the door. She blinked, staring. Heine had squished himself out from under the counter and immediately started barking at Akamaru, which snapped Nill out of it. She shook her hands quickly, succeeding in making the dog stop, though he wouldn't take his eyes off the larger dog.

She hung her head a little and looked back at Kiba and smiled, making a small gesture to point to herself as though to say she were Nill.]

[Kiba grinned, opening the door wide enough to walk in. This place was freaking hot though, so his jack was just over his shoulder. He didn't look so scuffed up as before, but with the mesh shirt, the cuts and bruises from getting thrown through two windows were pretty visible. He's a little surprised that she doesn't say anything, but he waves and points at himself.] Hi. I'm Kiba! Oh uh, yeah. Heh. This is Akamaru! He's a good guy, real friendly.

[Without a pause, he bends down so Heine can sniff his hand.] Don't worry, Akamaru ain't gonna get up to anything! Right, boy? [He looks back over his shoulder and the big dog's tail thumps against the wall outside.]

[She saw the wounds and injuries through the fishnet, and a worried look crossed her face. He'd said he was fine, but was that really...fine?

Her face flushed a little and she looked over at Akamaru again when Kiba mentioned the large dog outside. Heine seemed content enough to sniff at Kiba's hand and went back to wherever he'd been behind the counter before he was caught out again.

She looks back at Kiba with a smile before she reaches for his hand and gently flips it palm-up and writes the letters of her name out slowly, then pointed to herself once more.]

[Pushing himself back up, Kiba nods to Akamaru to stay outside. It's an unspoken understanding - better not mess with the other kid's turf, yeah? Least not 'til you know him better. Akamaru's nose is still propping the door open, though, so he can keep an eye on his boy. Scratching the back of his head, Kiba looks at the notepad--] Nill! Good, found the right place then. Nice to meetcha!

[Kiba looks around, curious, before he remembers something and lamely holds up his journal] Oh, yeah! Thanks for the map!

[Shoving the book into his pocket, he wanders a little further into the shop.] Friendly dog you got. He like a guard dog?

[He was... nice. He hadn't said a word about how she couldn't speak, or her wings, or nothing -- Something she wasn't used to, but it was definitely a welcome change. A bright smile crossed her face and she followed him into the cafe.

Nill nodded when he asked if Heine was like a guard dog. He was, in a sense, she supposed. But she liked him more for his company than anything, especially when she didn't have anyone elses. When she'd been the only one from her world here.

She gave Kiba a questioning look, as though asking if there was anything she could get him.]

[Quiet, huh? Kinda like Shino and Hinata-chan! Maybe that meant she was kinda shy, too! He shrugged to himself - good enough reason to be quiet as any, and like he was going to make fun of her for that. She was nice and everything! The wings were kind unusual, now he noticed 'em, but you kinda got used to seeing odd things when you were a ninja... eh, he could ask later.]

Uhh... [His stomach grumbled] Do you have food? I have money an' stuff... heh, me and Akamaru are both pretty hungry.

[A woof of agreement came from the door.]

[She nodded a little and fled to the other side of the counter to get Kiba something to eat. Though, Nill had no idea what you fed a dog as big as Akamaru was...

She returned and set down a plate with a sandwich and a few cookies on it, along with a cup of tea. Nill cast a glance over at the door, frowning a little. There probably wasn't anything in the cafe that would be good for a dog, she didn't think, a silent sigh escaping her.

The blonde looked back down at Kiba, tilting her head to the side a little.]

Oh, thanks! [Kiba beamed, and after a moment grabbed half the sandwich and turned to the door.] I'll be right back! [Back, right after he fed his buddy something! Maybe they could go find some meat later, too.]

All right! Food! Akamaru likes the sandwich! [Like it more if it was made entirely of meet, but he wasn't gonna be rude! She was so nice and all! Kiba slid back into his chair, and started tearing into his half of the sandwich.]

You work here a lot?

[She watched him go to the door, feeding half the sandwich to the dog. The large dog. Nill was pretty sure normal dogs didn't get that big -- ... Did they?

She watched him return and sit, tilting her head to the side a little. At his question, Nill nodded a silent agreement. She was usually there, just about everyday.

Nill looked up at him, tilting her head to the other side as she folded her hands together neatly. ]

[He nodded along with her, though he was still stuffing the sandwich in his mouth. Damn, he was hungry!]

Hey this is really good! [As evidenced by it being mostly gone. Finally he leaned back in his chair and lazily slung his arm over the back. His other hand strayed up to his forehead protector which he pulled off, chucking it on the table and scratching at his hair]

Aw, man. It's hot around here. Crazy kinda weather, huh? It like this where you come from?
