[She blinked a little, her face flushed at his complement. She shook her head quickly as though to dismiss the compliment from her mind before her eyes fell onto the headband that he'd tossed onto the table. Nill watched it for a moment, curiously, before she looked back up at Kiba.

Nill shook her head again at his question. It wasn't always this warm back home -- but at least it rained here, sometimes. It was almost the rainy season now, wasn't it? It had always been raining when she'd arrived before... She made gestures with her hands, like trying to explain just that: that it did rain here, sometimes.]

[Kiba's eyebrow finally rose a little. Really weren't keen on talking, was she? His head tilted to the side, and he chewed on one of the cookies as he watched her gesture. He was used to reading body language, both as a ninja and especially because of his clan, and he caught onto what she was saying pretty easily.] Oh, rains huh? That's good. Might break the heat or somethin'.

[He stretched and grinned as his spine crackled.] How long've you been here anyway? [And he was still stretching, though he was careful not to overstretch the points where Ba'ast had got him really hard. Damn pirate.]

[She watched him, tilting her head a little. Glad, really, that she didn't need to go so far to explain things with her actions. Kiba seemed to be able to understand her fairly well, that she was happy for. It always got frustrating, trying to explain something over and over again when all she could use was her actions and the other person just wasn't getting it.

Nill nodded a little at his words, quietly sitting down at the seat across from him with her hands folded neatly in her lap. At his question, Nill raised her hands and held up all her fingers, like she were gesturing 'ten'. She'd been there ten months or so, now, she guessed. Maybe a little longer...]

Ten? [His brow burrowed and he propped his chin on his hands, elbows resting on the table.] Days? Weeks? Heh. Probably not days, huh? [He grinned a little.] Errr. Months? [And then a long pause, before a bit hesitantly:] ... Years? [Geez, that'd be a long time to be stuck in this place. He needed to get home faster than that!

He picked up his headband and absently turned it over in his hands, before going to tie it back around his head.] You like it here?

[Nill shook her head as he listed off Days, weeks, years. But when he said Months, she nodded quickly. It had been around ten months, she guessed. She'd lost track, really...

His next question caught her off guard, made her think for a moment. She did like it here, in all honesty. But something was... off. She knew it was. While she had a lot of friends here, more than she'd ever had, people she knew from home still weren't here; like Badou and Bishop. In the end, Nill nodded, smiling.

Heine finally came out from behind the counter, as though seeking out any leftovers from whatever Kiba had been eating. He sat down beside Nill, dropping his head onto her lap and looking up at her out of the top of his eyes.]

[Kiba nodded.] Months, got it. [And then he exhaled. Man, that was still a long time to be here! Argh.] Phew. That's good, I guess. I kinda need to get back to Konoha, though. My team needs us two.[His brow furrowed a sec, but the expression cleared when Heine came over.]

Hey, buddy! [Kiba grinned.] Ain't got anything for you, me an' Akamaru were real hungry. Maybe I can bring you something sometime, yeah? [He looked up at Nill.] Don't mind if I come hang out sometimes, right? Akamaru can behave himself. [A quiet bark sounded from the dog outside. ]
