Mary had left the inn shortly after Shuichi had fallen asleep, and then taking a key to the apartment [leaving one for Shuichi should he decide to leave in plain sight], left after making sure it was locked. In the time she'd spent with Shuichi, Yuki had neither come for him or wrote for him in the journals, she'd checked, and Mary was more than a little annoyed by the turn of events ( ... )

Her strict tone immediately set Yuki off. No way was Shuichi staying with her for any longer. He tossed a glare at her, plopping down into the seat directly across from her. He pulled his pack of cigarettes out of his pocket-- he was down to only three now-- and lit up, letting the silence linger in the air for a moment, before he took a drag, and then began speaking again. "I guess you didn't hear me. Where is he?"

"I heard you, I just think you're getting the impression that you show up here and I'll go give him to you. When, I believe what I said was, you could have him in the morning if you met me. I wanted to speak with you." She tilted her head and regarded him for a moment.

"You've already agreed and so here we are." She wasn't exactly trying to be mean, but honestly, if the man was worried it would do him some good. Mary wasn't writing him up and sticking him in a neatly labled slot of 'bad guy', as she believed people made mistakes and that was alright as long as they learned from them, but it didn't appear Yuki was learning ( ... )

Yuki blinked, letting his cigarette drop a little. Oh, so that was what this way about. This woman had taken it upon herself to lecture him about his treatment of Shuichi. Well, fine, he'd sit through it, if he had to. But he wasn't going to taken everything she said so easily. Still, if he fought her about it, she might not tell him where Shuichi was... Looks like he would have to compromise a little bit.

"Shuichi knows I don't mean half the things I fucking say to him. It's his own damn fault for overreacting," he said evenly.

Well, at least he wasn't completely as unaffected as he came across as. The question he'd started was more of a rhetorical one. Mary wouldn't have bothered saying it if it was untrue, and she was more than willing to wait out the silence while, tapping her fingers lightly on the table. She didn't have too wait long, and the response sent her 'unimpressed' face back on. "You shouldn't do it if you don't even mean it. You sound like you're exploiting how he feels for you in your favour. That isn't love at all ( ... )

"Dammit, I do mean it," he snapped. "I just don't want to fucking lose to you in this arguement." Well, if that didn't shut her up about all this, nothing would. He thought it might show her that even if she did get through to him, he'd still argue with her. That's the way Yuki was.

"God, you sound like my fucking mother. Alright. I won't kick him out anymore. I won't tell him to drop dead. I'll consider being nicer to him, but it'll be on my own damn time. Now. Tell me where he is."

Well, that was entirely unexpected. He'd made it pretty obvious earlier on that admitting he was wrong, wasn't his strong point. But to admit he was continuing to sound so unfeeling to the arguement, because he knew he was, was something she hadn't seen coming. In return, Mary backed off with a nod. No need to rub it in.

She snorted a laugh and genuinely smiled at him. "I am definately not old enough to be your mother. Lucky you." Tilting her head again in mild confusion then, she continued.

"That's good, that's all I really wanted. This place is bad enough without putting him in those sorts of situations. But, haven't you been listening? I already told you where he is."

She continued her rhytmic tapping. "He's in my hotel room, sleeping." She'd gotten exactly what she wanted, and in a genuine reaction, so she didn't really want to make the situation worse by mentioning again that the Shuichi had been so tired because he'd been crying.

"He needs the sleep, so you can't wake him. What do you suggest we do now?"

"Yeah, but you haven't told me which hotel room you are in," he replied sharply. And, it looked like she wouldn't, Yuki noted, probably because the second she told him he was going to go there and take Shuichi back. Even if it meant waking him up.

"How about this," he said, not really asking a question, but more of making a statement. "If I swear not to wake him up-- not that you'll believe me, most likely-- will you let me stay with him?" He did his best not to sound desperate. He was worried, though; if Shuichi was that upset by his words, than Yuki would have to make it up to him eventually (or at least, promise that he would try,) and he did want to check up on the boy, to make sure nothing had happened to him before Mary got to him, although he was sure that she would have told him if the pink-haired boy was hurt.

Hello, this is a notification that this entry is not tagged correctly. According to the Rivelatalogs profile page and the moderators' Tag-related entries in the OOC community, this entry should include 1) the names of all characters appearing within this thread and 2) a place tag if the "Where" is a public venue and not a private residence. If this is unclear, please refer to the links provided.

In this instance, it would be greatly appreciated if the café is named and then tagged appropriately.
