Basch did not know the city very well yet. He had not been in Rivelata long. So far he'd managed to meet up with Balthier, and his merry band of... people. Interesting bunch to say the least. No more colorful than the group he'd previously been with. Though it was nice to meet someone who seemed some what normal on his journal.

Fitzwilliam Darcy. He seemed like a nice enough man, it didn't seem like such a bad idea to meet with him. Which is why the ex-Captain was currently walking towards the Inn. After taking a little bit to find it of course. Seeing a figure waiting outside of the Inn, he figured it to be the man he'd come to meet. Slowly walking up to the other, he smiled kindly.

"Fitzwilliam Darcy?" Basch asked, moving to stand near the other, leaving a bit of space for comfort, hand on one hip.

He had almost given up hope; Darcy could be rather impatient, though he realized Basch knew about as much about the city as he did, which wasn't much. But he waited it out, and was rewarded when, after a few more minutes, he was approached by a stranger asking his name. He nodded, curtly, before replying. "Yes, that is correct." A brief, awkward pause. Darcy truly was bad at social situations. "I am under the impression that you are Basch?" It felt strange referring to someone he didn't know so well by their first name, but he had noticed others doing it around here, and he did not want to seem completely old-fashioned.

A friendly smile spread across his face, and the older man nodded. Giving the man a once over, he found his outfit reminded him of royalty back in Ivalice. It made him wonder if the other were of any high standing in his world.

"Yes, a pleasure to meet you Fitzwilliam." Basch offered a gloved hand, his grip strong when and if the other would take it. He hoped the sword at his hip would not alarm the other, but he figured, being a world he knew little about, it was better to be armed than not.

Darcy, too, gave Basch a look-over, raising his eyebrow at what was (in Darcy's conservative British mind) a somewhat revealing outfit. One could see the man's abs! But then, Darcy had seen even stranger outfits since his arrival, and even a few people with legitimate ears and tails. This he could forgive
