WHO: Fitzwilliam Darcy, Basch fon Ronsenburg, and any one else interested.
WHAT: Though the two had spoken over the journals, Darcy much prefered the old-fashion "meeting-face-to-face" concept.
WHERE: Outside of an inn
WHEN: Before the kidnapping of Claire
(
It is a truth universally acknowledged... )
He brought his hand to meet Basch's, giving it a short shake before withdrawing it immediately. The other had a strong hand, but a comforting, kind face, and Darcy felt himself ease up slightly. "It is a pleasure to meet you as well, Basch," he replied, still unused to the informal use of first names. Though the two had agreed to meet up, their was no specific reason for it; simply that Darcy didn't know anyone, and the Basch had seemed a very agreeable fellow when the two spoke over the journals.
He wanted to say something about the sword, but he worried about whether that would be considered an appropriate topic or not. It was clear that this town, and the worlds everyone was from had very different sets of manners. So instead, Darcy stood quite, unsure of what to say, but hoping he didn't make the same bad first impression on Basch as he had on Elizabeth Bennet.

"Are you boarding at the Inn?" Basch asked, seeing the other looked a bit... nervous maybe?

"I currently am staying with a... friend." It felt odd calling Balthier a friend. They really couldn't be considered as such, could they? Acquaintances made more sense, as they were far from being close enough to be friends. After being in Rivelata who knew, honestly. Basch felt almost as awkward as Darcy, he wasn't much of a talker either.
"I am glad to see there is someone of like mind here. I can't say much for the company I am sharing where I'm staying at the moment."
