[She's walking down the street under the lamps, humming a little tune to herself. Something catches her eye and she looks up. Hey, a girl's up there!]

What're you doing on a roof?

[What, really, would someone be doing on a roof? What if the girl was a burglar?? Or a criminal?? She didn't have her spirits to help her out of this...]

[Venus glances down and waves. It's Lucy! But right, secret-identity...srs bsness face is a go.]

Keeping an eye out for bad guys! [there's a flash of light in the palm of her hand, and a golden heart floats above her index finger] Gotta keep the citizens safe, after all.

[Lucy checks her whip with the heart end. Yup it's still there.]

So are you a crime-fighter?

[But didn't the ones in this city wear masks? Hmm...]

[Venus nods. Swinging her legs and whatnot. She kind of wants to get out of the high heels...it's been a while.]

Yep! Sailor Venus, champion of love and justice! [strikes a pose! Too bad she left her mask at home.]

[she fangirled him at one point, right?]

[He had been missing all the action lately. Apparently, the Batfamily had a vendetta against a vampire, and after a particularly bad run-in with Morbius back home, Spidey had no intent of tagging along.

He sees her resting and stops by to say hello.]

Isn't it hard to do all that in heels?

[Yep. XD But she's not going to as Venus. XP]

[Holy crap, Spider-Man! Inward-fangirling is a go. But she plays it cool.]

Nope! You get used to it after awhile. [she gestures to his mask] Is it hard to see through that thing?

[He touches his own mask.] Not at all. The eyecovers are kind of like giant sunglass lenses.

So, what's your deal, with the skirt and chains?

Huh. [she makes a mental note to remember that] That's pretty cool!

[she unhooks the chain and lazily swings it in front of her] The skirt is a fuku, actually. [debating the flashy intro, then decides not to. Something tells her he won't be impressed] Sailor Venus, champion of love and justice, [she winks] at your service. [and a peace sign]

[Strangers in the night indeed. But this next one was not such an unfamiliar face, and it didn't come upon her in the usual way either. Her eyes were almost glowing with malice as she stalked across the rooftop toward Venus. Embers were glowing in the palms of her hands.]

I didn't think Venus was supposed to be out tonight.

Yes, she sounded angry. But my, those legs went on forever in that skirt, didn't they?

[Oh god. She'd thought she would've been able to sneak out and get back home before Rei--Mars would notice, but apparently luck was not with her this evening.

Great. Now she was in trouble.]

Oh! Hi! [Venus gulps audibly, and she's very, very slowly backing away] That's really funny, because I-I didn't think Mars was going to be out tonight either! But...hey, here we are, and now that we've said hello, it's probably time for me to be going! You know, the past waits for no one, and all!

[there's a nervous laugh...and then suddenly Venus is bolting across the roof, hoping to jump to the next one before she gets set on fire.]

[Run run run, little Venus! But even if she had a quicker orbit, Mars' reach was more widespread. She grumbled under her breath and took off after her girlfriend, reaching out to grab that long golden chain around her waist and bring her crashing down against the rooftops.

The people below probably weren't very happy.]

Stop it. Don't be a coward, Venus. Just tell me why you're out here.

[Ow, okay. That hurt, and so Venus is wincing and propping herself up on her elbows, turning to scowl at Mars.]

Ouch! Well, you were getting all...flamey! I was trying to save myself! And umm...[she looks a little sheepish] I just wanted to go on patrol.

[she's standing to her feet and dusting herself off] I do it a lot, just in case someone needs help.

[You're not the only one out tonight. Trunks saw your lightshow and is coming to investigate--from the air. YOU'RE NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH SUPERPOWERS. Landing behind you!]

[Wow, did that guy just fly over? That's so cool! She's trying to keep from looking too amazed, but her eyes are pretty wide]

Yeah, that was me! [there's a pause, then she's studying him for...rocket boots or something] How'd you do that? That's amazing!

It's a ki technique. You could probably learn it too, you already seem to have control down...

[He means your attacks. THEY LOOK LIKE KI BLASTS TO HIM OKAY. 'cept weird.]

I could learn how to fly, really?! I've always wanted to learn how to fly! Oh, and I could get a cape...oh! And...save people out of trees! [she's just going to keep rambling until someone shuts her up. :|]
