WHO: Yoite {erasemeaway}, Lockon Stratos {gn_002}, Tieria Erde {darth_veda}, Batman {darkknightfall} WHAT: A rescue of body and soul WHERE: The Inn WHEN: Late Evening
It had been a good day for the former sniper. The weather took a turn for the better after the sudden flood that caused heavy damage in Rivelata. Things were still gloomy around the place. People lost friends, got hurt or lost valuables. Neil had been one of the lucky ones because he had been spared the pain of loosing his loved ones (even if Tieria did get a bad beating). Their house, though the first floor had been damaged, was not beyond hope. Materials could easily be replaced.... like his favorite couch.
Today, Neil and Haro- rather, Haro had to accompany Neil in order to keep Tieria sane- were in charge of going to the market to buy groceries. Tieria, on the other hand, remained home to continue cleaning the mess the water left behind

It was a strange feeling, the blood quickly bubbling over him. He could smell it thickly, even with his deadened senses. A strange ghost of a laugh emerged from his lips at the situation. The pads of his fingers rubbed together in wonder at the liquid coating his hand. It hurt; anyone else might have been screaming from pain; but Yoite was so often burdened with excruciating pain, a slice in the skin was not any great concern.
It had taken Yoite several months to pilfer a scalpel off a nurse's tray. He kept it on him at all times, sometimes turning it in his fingers contemplatively.
He had become so useless now. Miharu- the one who had taught him to feel and smile and whispered lies like he deserved something out of life, had already come and gone. And Yoite could do little but watch him slip from his grasp. Yet another to his list of those he had harmed. With Miharu's departure, any hope that Yoite could have his existence purged from reality vanished like fog in the wind. He had long ago decided that the most logical solution

He had to stop him, otherwise, he wouldn't be able to live with himself. How did he let this happen? He should have paid more attention to the boy.
He panted, heartbeat pumping his blood at a speed he hadn't felt in a long time. Neil made it to Yoite's door and for a moment, he almost stopped, almost knocked on the door--- he refused to believe that the boy would go ahead and hurt himself. Haro shifted on the crook of his arm and snapped him back to reality.
He reached for the doorknob.
Time stopped for him when he saw the angry red color of blood and the scalpel in his frail hand. "Yoite!"
His body acted on its own accord. "Don't!" He rushed to his side.
He knew that voice. The kind man who called himself Neil. He came to visit sometimes, sitting by the bed and chattering cheerfully. Any further contact with Yoite wuld only make life harder for him.
Yoite's eyes rolled upward to him, the scalpel posed on his other wrist- it was as if he were not in his body. He gave Lockon a dull expression, before bowing his head to complete his task.
Neil was able to reach him on time. His hands took a strong- almost hurtful- hold on his arms and stopped him from inflicting any more harm on himself.
He shook his head, denial blocking any other thought except the fact that Yoite was trying to kill himself. Even if he had been mindful of the wound when he reached for him, he couldn't do anything to keep the blood from staining his hands and white shirt.
Haro watched silently from the floor, Lockon had been non-too-gentle enough with the sudden anxiety of reaching the youth in time, and had dropped the small orange A.I. in the process. It's little beady eyes blinked red, like recording data, Haro remained silent and watching.
"Why!?" a useless question. Neil was too overwhelmed by the situation and the guilt gnawing at his consciousness, he couldn't even think. Neil looked straight at Yoite-- Sora as if doing that would help understand him more. "I won't let you. I told you I was here!"
His anger and sadness kept building up in his chest. The guilt was too much.
