She had worn her legs down running through the city, worn out her voice calling her name. She'd wished, wanted to find her as hard and as long as she could, but nothing, nothing was bringing Mikuru to her. And when Haruhi found Kyon, it was all she could do to keep from snapping him into when she picked him up and slammed him against the wall by the front of his shirt.
"WHERE IS SHE!? WHY HAVEN'T WE FOUND HER? WHY ISN'T SHE ANSWERING? I LOOKED EVERYWHERE - EVERYWHERE! WHY ISN'T SHE HERE!?"

Her speed kept her just behind Suzumiya-san, knowing well enough not to be faster than the other girl. It was also fairly easy to stay in the free space created by her wake, and, thus, stay somewhat close. Something along the lines of irritation boiled in her when the Brigade Chief pushed him up against the wall.
She drew closer, putting a hand on the girl's arm. Her wide eyes steadied on her, telling her, calmly, with her eyes, to let the man down so they could continue looking for the lost member.
