He hadn’t been too far away from the mansion when he had first noticed Gokudera’s blood stained journal entry and since the other teen had seemed to have quite a problem bandaging himself up he hadn’t seen any reason to do anything but wait for him to give in and accept a bit of help. Yamamoto was, in fact, rather good at wrapping people up. It came with his favourite hobby - both of them

At the arrival of the Rain Guardian, Gokudera’s forehead creased and he averted his eyes towards the other side of the room, suddenly unable to make eye contact. No matter how … welcome this was, he still couldn’t help but feel pathetic for asking for help - or accepting it … perhaps that was a better word. It wasn’t like Yamamoto would laugh at him, nor make a fool out of him but at the same time the entire situation seemed foreign.
Keeping his eyes trained away, the Italian shrugged his shoulders, keeping his hands palm upwards on his lap. Fuck, they hurt. His trousers were already soiled with blood and earth, burn holes and gunpowder and his efforts with the bandages had only managed to irritate his injuries even more, causing all the excess bleeding. He bit down on his teeth, not saying a word about the pain. His body, however, was telling a different story; his hands had started shaking. “It’s fine …” he said. “I need to continue training so I don’t forget the motions. It’s been a while since I’ve used dynamite, after the boxes

”If you say so,” Yamamoto doubted that the injuries were as insignificant as Gokudera made them sound. But ah, well, Gokudera was still Gokudera, right? He would probably miss him if he suddenly changed. “I have something for you though, in case they start hurting more later

Surprised that his companion had managed to hold on to them for so long, Gokudera turned his head to look at the pills on his desk. Pain killers. Funny that - even after so many hospital visits and severe injuries - his relationship with them still wasn’t exactly … well, comfortable. Sure, he had taken medicine now and again in his life; antibiotics for fevers, headache pills, the ordinary aspirin but he had never really relied on them. When he was in pain he mostly just dealt with it and pills were very much a last resort. However, there were times when it was easier to just swallow down one or two - after a hard day’s training, for example, with more planned for tomorrow

“It’s quite hard to bandage up yourself, isn’t it?” Yamamoto started wrapping Gokudera’s left hand and arm, firmly bit carefully. “I have done it myself a couple of times and aaah I can’t say I’m good at it.”
Gokudera mostly seemed to be quite skilled, seeing as he often showed up with at least two body parts injured, but this time the wounds were rather nasty and he was shaking noticeably. Without a word, of course, the Storm Guardian was perfectly stoic like always.
“I could make you some tea, if you like.” He offered, still concentrating on his task. “You should probably keep your hands still until they have stopped bleeding but you might want to drink something to make up for the blood you lost.”
Besides, he kinda wanted some himself. It was still raining outside and even though he hadn’t even noticed it while he was still outside he started feeling slightly chilled.
