Saying that he was nervous was an understatement. This would be the first time that Yuuri had performed his new Council duties, and he could only hope that he was doing them right.

The Army had come and rounded him up this morning, just like the official message said it would. They then took him to the ramen place, where he knew others would be waiting.

Taking a deep breath, the young king awaited contact from the rest of the team. No sound came from the shop, but they had to know who was outside. He smoothed down his black uniform for what seemed like the millionth time as he looked at his surroundings.

"You look fine for an arrest, Yuuri," said a kind voice behind the king. "May I join you? I have looked for you at our home. However it seems that you are busy with the council duties."

Conrad had a gentle smile on his lips. His sword was at his side and he was wearing his usual uniform.

"Hmm. Didn't expect a party," Galatea said breezily, navigating through the throng of guards waiting at the door of the ramen shop. As a contrast to Yuuri, she was completely unruffled and calm. While arrests were uncommon where she came from, she wasn't new to the concept, and even she had been, it wasn't in her nature to worry. She eyed the soldiers and they returned her careful gaze a bit nervously, which she'd expected. They were only human, for one, and they weren't quite used to her presence yet ( ... )

Axel heard the rap on the door, and glanced around the room, trying to stay calm. After all, the only reason anyone ever knocked on the door of a restaurant was if they had business, right ( ... )

If Axel had decided to run, however good he was at running, he wouldn't have gotten far-- whether he would have gotten past the back door at all was doubtful at best, because Batman was already there, waiting. It wasn't in his nature to trust-- especially not someone like Axel-- and while the official strike force was going in the front door, Bruce knew that they couldn't afford to underestimate Axel. As much as he would like to believe that having a heart again would make the Nobody a better person, there was far from a guarantee of that-- in fact, the Joker, his own archnemesis, was perhaps so terrible because of his hearts, because of the dark emotions that roiled through his veins. To make matters more complicated, even if Axel himself had lost his powers, the others in the establishment, his friends, still had their powers and might even use them to attempt to defend him or cover his escape. After all, as one who had once been persecuted by the Queen, he knew well that the Queen's "justice" could at times be anything but just, ( ... )
